VEST (ISS Experiment)
VEST (Very Efficient Substitution Transposition) ciphers are a set of families of general-purpose hardware-dedicated ciphers that support single pass authenticated encryption and can operate as cryptographic hash function, collision-resistant hash functions designed by Sean O'Neil, Benjamin Gittins and Howard Landman. VEST cannot be implemented efficiently in software. VEST is based on a balanced T-function that can also be described as a bijective NLFSR, nonlinear feedback shift register with parallel feedback (NLPFSR) or as a substitution–permutation network, which is assisted by a non-linear residue numeral system, RNS-based counter. The four VEST family trees described in the cipher specification are VEST-4, VEST-8, VEST-16, and VEST-32. VEST ciphers support keys and Initialization vector, IVs of variable key size, sizes and instant re-keying. All VEST ciphers release output on every clock cycle. All the VEST variants are covered by European Patent NumbeEP 1820295(B1) owne ...

VEST Structure
A waistcoat (British English, UK and English in the Commonwealth of Nations, Commonwealth, or ; colloquially called a wikt:weskit#English, weskit), or vest (American English, US and Canada), is a sleeveless upper-body garment. It is usually worn over a dress shirt and necktie and below a Coat (clothing), coat as a part of most men's formal wear. It is also sported as the third piece in the traditional three-piece male suit. Any given waistcoat can be simple or ornate, or for leisure or luxury. Historically, the waistcoat can be worn either in the place of, or underneath, a larger coat, dependent upon the weather, wearer, and setting. Daytime formal wear and semi-formal wear commonly comprises a contrastingly coloured waistcoat, such as in buff (colour), buff or dove gray, still seen in morning dress and black lounge suit. For white tie and black tie, it is traditionally white and black, respectively. Name The term ''waistcoat'' is used in the United Kingdom and many Com ...
