Virtual Distributed Ethernet
Virtual Distributed Ethernet (VDE) is a set of programs to provide virtual software-defined Ethernet network interface controllers (NICs) across multiple devices, typically computers, which are either virtual or physical. It forms part of the Virtual Square project from the Italian Bologna University whose code is available on public servers using free software licenses, mostly GPLv2. Researchers at the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science, Xavier University, Cincinnati OH, US are also working on the project. It is one of the available networking methods for the Linux Kernel-based Virtual Machine (KVM) and forms part of some Linux distributions such as Ubuntu Precise (12.04 LTS) and Debian Overview Software-defined networking is the dynamic creation of virtual network infrastructure that is completely decoupled and independent of any physical network hardware. Structure VDE (Virtual Distributed Ethernet) comprises 5 main components: VDE switch A virtual ethernet s ...

Violaxanthin De-epoxidase
Violaxanthin de-epoxidase (, ''VDE'') is an enzyme with systematic name ''violaxanthin:ascorbate oxidoreductase''. This enzyme catalyses the following chemical reaction : violaxanthin + 2 L- ascorbate \rightleftharpoons zeaxanthin + 2 L-dehydroascorbate + 2 H2O (overall reaction) : (1a) violaxanthin + L-ascorbate \rightleftharpoons antheraxanthin + L-dehydroascorbate + H2O : (1b) antheraxanthin + L-ascorbate \rightleftharpoons zeaxanthin + L-dehydroascorbate + H2O Violaxanthin de-epoxidase is a part of the xanthophyll (or violaxanthin) cycle for controlling the concentration of zeaxanthin in chloroplast A chloroplast () is a type of membrane-bound organelle known as a plastid that conducts photosynthesis mostly in plant and algal cells. The photosynthetic pigment chlorophyll captures the energy from sunlight, converts it, and stores it in ...s. References External links * {{Portal bar, Biology, border=no EC 1.10.99 ...

Visteon Dockable Entertainment
The Visteon Dockable Entertainment System (officially referred to as ''Dockable Entertainment featuring Game Boy Advance'') is a portable DVD player created by Visteon in 2006 for the US market at an MSRP of $1299 USD. The player is notable for containing officially licensed Game Boy Advance hardware, as Visteon partnered with Nintendo to announce the product at CES 2006. Initially due out in April, the product was then delayed to May before finally launching in July of that year. To celebrate the product's launch Visteon held a photography and writing contest. The device was not sold at general retailers, but rather at car dealerships in combination with a roof docking head mount for installation, or already equipped in select models of certain vehicles. On April 1, 2008, Visteon introduced a model mounted into headrests for $1699. Later that year the company expressed interest in creating similar products for the Nintendo DS and Wii platforms, though neither materialized. ...
