VA Long Beach Healthcare System, former Naval Hospital Long Beach is a large medical treatment facility in Long Beach, California. The Veterans Administration Hospital operates the hospital on 100 acres of land at 5901 E 7th St, Long Beach. The hospital has primary care, tertiary care, and long-term care in areas of medicine, surgery, psychiatry, physical medicine and rehabilitation, neurology, oncology, dentistry, spinal cord injury, geriatrics, blind rehabilitation and extended care. The VA Hospital opened on June 1, 1950. The hospital opened in 1942 as a Naval Hospital in 1942 with 300 beds to serve wounded World War 2 servicemen. DeWitt General Hospital
DeWitt General Hospital was a World War II US Army Hospital in Auburn, California in Placer County at the corner of C Avenue and First Street. The hospital was built in 1944 to care for troops returning home from overseas service and troops that served on the home front. The first patient checked in on February 17, 1944. The hospital had 2,285 beds housed in single story buildings over the 284 acres campus. DeWitt General Hospital was three miles north of downtown Auburn. Rancho Los Alamitos
Rancho Los Alamitos takes its name from an 1834 Mexican partition of the 1784 Rancho Los Nietos, a Spanish concession, covering an area in present-day California's southwestern Los Angeles County and northwestern Orange County.
