V. Mitch McEwen
V. Mitch McEwen (born 1978) is an American architect and urban planner, cultural activist, and Assistant Professor at the Princeton University School of Architecture. She is co-founder of Atelier Office, a design and cultural practice working within the fields of urbanism, technology, and the arts. McEwen is a co-founder and member of the Black Reconstruction Collective and a board member of the Van Alen Institute in New York. She was given the 2010 New York State Council on the Arts Independent Projects Award for Architecture, Planning and Design. Education and career McEwen earned her Master of Architecture degree at Columbia University in New York City and a B.A. in Social Studies from Harvard College in Cambridge, MA. ''Dezeen'' is an online architecture, interiors and design magazine based in London, with offices in Hoxton and also previously in New York City. History ''Dezeen'' was launched in London by Marcus Fairs at the end of November 2006.
