V. Gowthaman
V. Gowthaman (Tamil: வ. கவுதமன்) is a Tamil film director and actor. He has directed few Tamil films. These include Magizhchi, Kanave Kalaiyadhe. He has also directed the famous thriller biography serials of Auto Shankar and Veerappan in the name of Auto Sankar and Santhanakkaadu in Makkal TV. He is preparing to direct a new film based on Neela Padmanaban's novel. He has participated in Jallikatu demonstration in Chennai. Career Gowthaman made his directorial debut with ''Kanave Kalaiyadhe'' (1998) starring Murali and Simran. In 2001, he started a film titled ''Poranthaalum Pompalaiyaa Porakkakkoodaathu'' with Livingston and Pandiarajan in the lead, though the film was later dropped. After a long gap he directed a tele series for Makkal TV based on the life of serial killer Auto Shankar and "Santhanakaadu" based on Veerappan. It stars Gowthaman himself in the lead role with Anjali, Karthika, director Seeman and Prakash Raj playing important supporting roles. Kanave Kalaiyadhe
''Kanave Kalayadhe'' () is a 1999 Indian Tamil-language romantic drama film directed by V Gowthaman. The film stars Murali and Simran. Simran played a dual role for the first time in her career. The score and soundtrack was composed by Deva. It was produced by Sivasakthi Movie Makers. The film was released on 6 August 1999. Plot Anand and Amritha are lovers living in Chandigarh. Veerappan
Koose Munisamy Veerappan (18 January 1952 – 18 October 2004) was an Indian bandit turned domestic terrorist who was active for 36 years, and kidnapped major politicians for ransom. He was charged with sandalwood smuggling and poaching of elephants in the scrub lands and forests in the states of Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Kerala. He was wanted for killing approximately 184 people, about half of whom were police officers and forest officials and was also wanted for poaching more than 2000 elephants and smuggling ivory worth US$2,600,000 (₹16 crore) and about 65000 kilograms of sandalwood worth approximately US$22,000,000 (₹143 crore). Pandiarajan is an Indian actor, director who has played leading roles in many humorous Tamil films and currently plays supporting and comedy roles. The 2017 pro-jallikattu protests, also known as the pro-jallikattu movement, were leaderless apolitical youth protests which took place in January 2017 in large groups in several locations across the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. Some sporadic smaller protests also took place across India as well as overseas. Katchatheevu ( ta, கச்சத்தீவு, translit=Kaccattīvu, si, කච්චතීවු, translit=kaccatīvu) is a 163-acre uninhabited island administered by Sri Lanka and was a disputed territory claimed by India until 1976.
