Uzhavan Magan
''Uzhavan Magan'' () is a 1987 Indian Tamil-language action drama film, directed by R. Aravindraj and produced by A. S. Ibrahim Ravuthar. The film stars Vijayakanth, Raadhika, Radha and Radha Ravi. The film had musical score by Manoj–Gyan. Plot Chinna Durai (Vijayakanth), a farmer lives quietly in his village when Nirmala (Radha) and Gunasekhar (Radha Ravi) intervene to wreak havoc. For revenge, Nirmala's family and Chinna Durai's father ( M. N. Nambiar) insist on getting married. While the wedding is in preparation, Gunasekhar's troops twist the neck of Durai's father. Chinna Durai seeing him dead, is embarked on Guna's general surprise and his relatives for attempted murder to the police leaving her lover Selvi (Raadhika). Ibrahim Rowther
Ibrahim Rowther was an Veteran Indian film producer and writer who had worked on Tamil language films. He produced films under the studios Rowther Films, Tamilannai Cine Creation and IV Cine International. Career Ibrahim Rowther launched his first film, ''Uzhavan Magan'' in 1987 to promote his friend Vijayakanth as an actor in the Tamil film industry. Vijayakanth subsequently garnered several bigger offers, and regularly collaborated with Ibrahim during his acting career. In the late 1990s, Ibrahim took up a key administrative role in the Tamil Film Producers Council and later served as its president. His production house, Rowther Films, began to flail in the late 1990s and films such as K.Paarthasarathy's ''Unakkum Enakkum Kalyanam'' featuring Livingston and Devayani were put on hold. ''The Indian Express'' is an English-language Indian daily newspaper founded in 1932. It is published in Mumbai by the Indian Express Group. In 1999, eight years after the group's founder Ramnath Goenka's death in 1991, the group was split between the family members. ''Manithan'' () is a 1987 Indian Tamil-language Political action film directed by S. P. Muthuraman, starring Rajinikanth, Rupini and Raghuvaran, with Senthil, Delhi Ganesh and Srividya. It was released 21 October 1987, and emerged a silver jubilee hit. Plot The story revolves around Raja, who grows up in juvenile detention due to hitting his teacher by a table weight for falsely calling him a thief due to the only reason he was born on a No Moon Day. He was born to a superstitious father who believes that a person born on a No Moon Day will surely turn criminal. When his imprisonment years are over, he joins People Welfare Organization in a local community and helps the needy people. In due course, he gets enemies due to his good deeds. The rest of the story forms on how Raja succeeds over his enemies and disproves the false claims on him and the superstitions and prejudice that surrounded him. ''Nayakan'' (; ) is a 1987 Indian Tamil-language gangster film written and directed by Mani Ratnam. Produced by Muktha Srinivasan, the film stars Kamal Haasan, Saranya (in her feature debut) and Karthika, with Janagaraj, Vijayan, M. V. Vasudeva Rao, Delhi Ganesh, Nizhalgal Ravi, Nassar and Tara in supporting roles. It revolves around the transformation of an ordinary slum dweller named Velu into a feared don through various stages of his life. ''Sattam Oru Vilaiyattu'' () is a 1987 Indian Tamil-language vigilante action film, directed by S. A. Chandrasekhar and produced by Shoba Chandrasekhar. The film stars Vijayakanth, Radha and Ravichandran. It revolves around a man seeking to avenge the murder of his mother and younger brother. The film was released on 21 October 1987. Plot As a boy, Raja saw his mother and younger brother murdered. He saw too that his police inspector father DCP Needhi Manikkam was powerless to get the murderer convicted as there was no evidence. As a young man under the name of Vijay, he gets even with the criminal Mathappu Sundaram killing each one of his three sons.
