Uwe Feiler
Uwe Feiler (born 2 November 1965) is a German politician of the Christian Democratic Union (CDU) who has been serving as a member of the Bundestag from the state of Brandenburg since 2013. From 2019 to 2021 he was a Parliamentary State Secretary at the Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture in the government of Chancellor Angela Merkel. Political career Feiler first became a member of the Bundestag after the 2009 German federal election, representing the Oberhavel – Havelland II district. From 2014 until 2017, he served on the Finance Committee and the Committee on European Affairs. In 2019, he became Parliamentary State Secretary for Food and Agriculture, under minister Julia Klöckner. In addition to his committee assignments, Feiler is part of the German-Polish Parliamentary Friendship Group. For the 2021 elections, Feiler was elected to lead the CDU campaign in Brandenburg. Bundestag
The Bundestag (, "Federal Diet") is the German federal parliament. It is the only federal representative body that is directly elected by the German people. It is comparable to the United States House of Representatives or the House of Commons of the United Kingdom. The Bundestag was established by Title III of the Basic Law for the Federal Republic of Germany (, ) in 1949 as one of the legislative bodies of Germany and thus it is the historical successor to the earlier Reichstag. Julia Klöckner
Julia Klöckner (born 16 December 1972) is a German politician of the Christian Democratic Union (CDU) who served as Federal Minister of Food, Agriculture and Consumer Protection in the government of Chancellor Angela Merkel from 2018 to 2021. Since 2012, she has also been part of the CDU leadership. Klöckner first became known in 1995 when she was chosen as the German Wine Queen (''Deutsche Weinkönigin''). From 2002 to 2011 she was a Member of Parliament for Kreuznach in the German Bundestag and, from 2009 to February 2011, she was a parliamentary undersecretary in the Federal Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Consumer Protection. Oberhavel – Havelland II is an electoral constituency (German: ''Wahlkreis'') represented in the Bundestag. It elects one member via first-past-the-post voting. Under the current constituency numbering system, it is designated as constituency 58.
