Sanskrit
Sanskrit (; attributively , ; nominally , , ) is a classical language belonging to the Indo-Aryan branch of the Indo-European languages. It arose in South Asia after its predecessor languages had diffused there from the northwest in the late Bronze Age. Sanskrit is the sacred language of Hinduism, the language of classical Hindu philosophy, and of historical texts of Buddhism and Jainism. It was a link language in ancient and medieval South Asia, and upon transmission of Hindu and Buddhist culture to Southeast Asia, East Asia and Central Asia in the early medieval era, it became a language of religion and high culture, and of the political elites in some of these regions. Uttara Baokar is an Indian stage, film and television actress. Uttarayana
The term Uttarāyaṇa (commonly Uttarayan) is derived from two different Sanskrit words – "uttara" (North) and "ayana" (movement) – thus indicating a semantic of the northward movement of the Sun on the celestial sphere. This movement begins to occur a day after the winter solstice in December, which occurs around 22 December and continues for a six-month period through to the summer solstice around June 21 (dates vary). This difference is because the solstices continually precess at a rate of 50 arcseconds per year due to the precession of the equinoxes, i.e. this difference is the difference between the sidereal and tropical zodiacs. The Surya Siddhanta bridges this difference by juxtaposing the four solstitial and equinoctial points with four of the twelve boundaries of the rashis. Uttara University ( bn, উত্তরা বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়) or UU is a private university at Uttara, in Dhaka, Bangladesh. UU has twelve campuses in a less than one-kilometer radius and is based in the satellite town of North Dhaka. ''Uttarā'' or Anglicized as ''Uttaraa'' (उत्तरा) was the daughter of Queen Sudeshna and King Virata, at whose court the Pandavas spent a year in concealment during their exile. In the epic Mahabharata, ''Uttar'' ( sa, उत्तर) was the prince of Matsya Kingdom and the eldest son of King Virata, at whose court the Pandavas spent one year in concealment during their exile. His sister Uttarā married Abhimanyu, son of Arjuna. Major episode Uttara is the son of Virata in mahabharata. According in Manava Purana, Uttara was incarnation of Sudharshana Chakra. Towards the end of the year that the Pandavas spent at the Matsya Kingdom, Duryodhana (suspecting that the Pandavas were hiding in Matsya) attacked that kingdom.
