Utladalen
Utladalen (or ''Utladal'') is a valley in Årdal Municipality in Vestland county, Norway. It stretches north from the village of Øvre Årdal into the neighboring Luster Municipality. The Avdalen and Fardalen valleys branch off of the main Utladalen valley. Utladalen is Norway's deepest valley. The main valley, when measuring from Øvre Årdal is long and is surrounded by dozens of mountain peaks that are all more than in height. From Øvre Årdal, a comfortable walking road has been constructed, funded by voluntary contributions. The road passes through the Vetti farm area and crosses the Utla river on four spectacular bridges. The walking path ends at one of Norway's tallest waterfalls, Vettisfossen. Since Utladalen is considered to be unique in Norway and internationally, the Utladalen Landscape Protection Area was established along with the adjacent Jotunheim National Park in 1980 and covers about . Utladalen Landscape Protection Area ( no, Utladalen landskapsvernområde) is adjacent to Jotunheimen National Park, covering Utladalen, Norway's deepest valley. Vettisfossen
Vettisfossen is one of Norway's tallest waterfalls, and the 284th tallest in the world. It is located in the Jotunheimen mountain range inside the Utladalen Landscape Protection Area in Årdal Municipality in Vestland county, Norway. The waterfall has a single drop of that is nearly vertical. The waterfall is about wide and has an average flow of . Vettisfossen is the tallest free-falling waterfall in Europe and in Norway which consists of only one drop, that is entirely free-falling, is not regulated and flows with a considerable volume. Vetti, Sogn Og Fjordane
Vetti (or ''Vetti Gard'') is an old farm area in the Utla valley (Utladalen) in Årdal Municipality in Vestland county, Norway. It is located northeast of Øvre Årdal, along the Utla river and has likely been inhabited since 1120. From Vetti, there are two walking paths into the Utladalen Landscape Protection Area and the Jotunheimen National Park. One path goes to the waterfall Vettisfossen and the other one goes to an old mountain farm, Vettismorki, to the north. Vetti can be reached by foot or by horse-carriage from the nearby Hjelle farm, to the south. Avdalen
Avdalen is a small, long side valley located off of the main Utladalen valley in Årdal Municipality in Vestland county, Norway. It is located within the Utladalen Landscape Protection Area, which was established along with the adjacent Jotunheim National Park in 1980 and covers about . A blues concert is held at Avdalen each year in June. It has become increasingly popular. The Årdal mountain touring club maintains a staffed lodge at the formeAvdal farm(). The Avdal farm was first occupied in 16th century and was vacated in 1962. The farm is located above the magnificent Avdalsfossen waterfall, about south of the Vetti farm. Jotunheim National Park

Vettismorki is an old mountain farm located just above the waterfall Vettisfossen in the Utladalen valley in Årdal Municipality in Vestland county, Norway. Øvre Årdal is a village in Årdal Municipality in Vestland county, Norway. It is the larger of the two primary villages in Årdal.
