Utah Open
The Utah Open is the Utah state open golf tournament, open to both amateur and professional golfers. It is organized by the Utah section of the PGA of America. It was first played in 1926 and has been played at a variety of courses around the state. It was occasionally a PGA Tour event: in the 1940s, 1960 PGA Tour, 1960, and 1963 PGA Tour, 1963. Since 2003, the title sponsor has been Siegfried & Jensen. Utah
Utah ( , ) is a state in the Mountain West subregion of the Western United States. Utah is a landlocked U.S. state bordered to its east by Colorado, to its northeast by Wyoming, to its north by Idaho, to its south by Arizona, and to its west by Nevada. Utah also touches a corner of New Mexico in the southeast. Nicholas Mason (golfer)
Nicholas Berkeley Mason, (born 27 January 1944) is an English drummer and a founder member of the progressive rock band Pink Floyd. He is the only member to feature on every Pink Floyd album, and the only constant member since its formation in 1965. He co-wrote Pink Floyd compositions such as " Echoes", "Time", " Careful with That Axe, Eugene", and " One of These Days". In 2018, he formed a new band, Nick Mason's Saucerful of Secrets, to perform music from Pink Floyd's early years. He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1996 as a member of Pink Floyd. Warren Schutte
A warren is a network of wild rodent or lagomorph, typically rabbit burrows. Domestic warrens are artificial, enclosed establishment of animal husbandry dedicated to the raising of rabbits for meat and fur. The term evolved from the medieval Anglo-Norman concept of free warren, which had been, essentially, the equivalent of a hunting license for a given woodland. Patrick Boyd (golfer)
Patrick W. Boyd is an Air Force Master Sergeant who pleaded guilty to accepting bribes when he served in Afghanistan. Prosecutors estimated he accepted $130,000 in bribes from Afghan contractors. Major Christopher P. West also faced bribery charges. The two men were arrested on August 26 and August 27, 2008. Four Afghans who were alleged to have been among those who issued the bribes were tricked into entering the US on August 25, 2008. Boyd, West, and another GI Charles W. Patton, pleaded guilty in June 2009. The bribery took place when Boyd and West were deployed to Afghanistan in 2004 and 2005. Patton, who wasn't deployed to Afghanistan, pleaded guilty to receiving and hiding cash from West. In October 2009 Sergeant Ana C. Chavez, who served at the base in 2005–2006, pleaded guilty to taking US$90,000 in bribe payments. Steve Runge
Steve Runge (born June 12, 1968) is an American college golf coach and former professional golfer. Runge was born in Newport Beach, California. He played college golf at Ohio State University. He turned professional in 1992. Runge played on the Nationwide Tour from NT 1995 to 1996 and 2000 to 2006. He won once at the 2000 Buy.com Richmond Open. He also played various mini-tours during his career. After his playing career was over, Runge worked as a golf instructor at IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida. In August 2011, he was hired as the men's golf coach at Clayton State University in Morrow, Georgia. In August 2014, he became the head coach at the University of Central Arkansas. Todd Demsey
Todd Demsey (born May 27, 1972) is an American professional golfer on the PGA Tour and 1993 NCAA champion. College career Demsey was born in Ridgewood, New Jersey. He graduated from Arizona State University in 1995 with a degree in Psychology and turned professional. He earned All-American honors four years in a row while in college, from 1992 to 1995, and was on the winning American 1993 Walker Cup team. Demsey's college roommate was PGA Tour pro Phil Mickelson. He was inducted into the ASU Sports Hall of Fame in 2006. Professional career Demsey played on the PGA Tour in 1997, when he made the cut in only nine of 27 events as a rookie. Back injuries slowed his career on the Nationwide Tour, but the real jolt came in 2002 when he felt constant pressure in his left sinus. Dean Wilson
Dean Hiroshi Wilson (born December 17, 1969) is an American professional golfer. Wilson was born in Kaneohe, Hawaii. He turned professional in 1992 after graduating from Brigham Young University and has won six times on the Japan Golf Tour and once on the PGA Tour. After a poor 2009 season Wilson lost his PGA Tour playing rights. He regained full tour status in 2010 while starting outside top 150 from previous year's money list. Todd Fischer (born August 23, 1969) is an American professional golfer. Fischer was born in Columbus, Ohio. He played college golf at the University of San Francisco, where he won two events. Kim Thompson (September 25, 1956 – June 19, 2013) was an American comic book editor, translator, and publisher, best known as vice president and co-publisher of Seattle-based Fantagraphics Books. Steve Friesen (born April 12, 1977) is an American professional golfer who played on the Web.com Tour. Friesen attended the University of Nebraska where in 1999 he won the Ben Hogan Award for the nations top scholar-athlete and was also named All-America honorable mention. He turned pro that year. Friesen played on several mini-tours early in his career and also played on the Canadian Tour. He joined the Nationwide Tour in 2009 but sat out in 2010 due to injury. He returned to the Tour in August 2011 and won his second event of the year at the Price Cutter Charity Championship. He is currently the Director of Instruction at Firethorn Golf Course in Lincoln, Nebraska.
