Ustupo is a town in the Kuna Yala province of Panama. The town comprises several (at least six) small, bridge-linked islands around off the coast. Ustupo Airport runway 15/33 bridges between two of the islands. Another runway is onshore. Ustupo Airport
Ustupo Airport is a secondary airport serving the island town of Ustupo, Guna Yala comarca, Panama. It is southwest on the mainland and reachable from the town by a boat. There are no regular flights from the airport. Air Panama flies to nearby Ustupu-Ogobsucum Airport, Ogobsucum Airport. The La Palma VHF omnidirectional range, VOR (Ident: PML) is located south-southwest of the airport. Kuna Yala
Guna Yala, formerly known as San Blas, is a ''comarca indígena'' (indigenous province) in northeast Panama. Guna Yala is home to the indigenous people known as the Gunas. Its capital is Gaigirgordub. It is bounded on the north by the Caribbean Sea, on the south by the Darién Province and Emberá-Wounaan, on the east by Colombia, and on the west by the province of Colón. Etymology Guna Yala in Kuna means "Land Guna" or "Guna Mountain". The area was formerly known as San Blas, and later as Kuna Yala, but the name was changed in October 2011 to "Guna Yala" when the Government of Panama recognized the claim of the people that "Guna" was a closer representation of the name.
