''Ek Thi Marium'' ( ) is a 2016 Pakistani biographical television film based on the life of Pakistani female fighter pilot Marium Mukhtiar. Produced by Nina Kashif, it is directed by Sarmad Sultan Khoosat and written by Umera Ahmad. It features Sanam Baloch in the titular role of Marium Mukhtiar, while Hina Khawaja Bayat and Behroze Sabzwari the played roles of Marium's parents. It was premiered on Defence Day 2016 on Urdu 1. Upon release, the film as well as Baloch's performance received critical acclaim. On 21 October 2016, the film was released in Cinepax nationwide. ''Na Maloom Afraad 2'' is a 2017 Pakistani action comedy film, co-written and directed by Nabeel Qureshi and produced by Fizza Ali Meerza and Mehdi Ali. It is a sequel to ''Na Maloom Afraad'' (2014). The film stars Fahad Mustafa, Javed Sheikh, Mohsin Abbas Haider and Urwa Hocane reprising their roles from the previous film. New additions to the cast include Marina Khan and Hania Amir. While Nayyar Ejaz, Saleem Meraj and Nazr-ul-Hassan played the main antagonists. Principal photography began in March 2017 in Karachi, and completed in May, while most shots are filmed in Cape Town. Shani Arshad has composed the film score and soundtrack. ''Mehrunisa V Lub U'' is a 2017 Pakistani romantic socio-comedy film written and directed by Yasir Nawaz. The film was released on 26 June 2017. It was produced by Nida Yasir and Hassan Zia under the YNH Films production company and is distributed by Eveready Pictures and Urdu 1 Pictures. The film stars Danish Taimoor and Sana Javed. Reviews of the film were mixed. While some felt it was a colourful guilt-free family film released for Eid al-Fitr, others felt that there were too many dirty jokes and that better writing and direction could have helped convey its simple message of community stewardship.
