The following details are for the programmes that GMTV (Good Morning Television) broadcast on ITV. GMTV is the former breakfast television franchise for the UK's ITV network. It began broadcasting on Friday 1 January 1993 and finished on Friday 3 September 2010, being replaced by ITV Breakfast. ''GMTV'' 1993–2000 ''GMTV'' is the original brand for GMTV's weekday breakfast magazine programme from 6:00 am. It included national and international news stories, regional news, weather, interviews, cookery and health features, human-interest and showbiz stories, and competitions. In spring 1993, shortly after the channel's launch, a separate news-focused programme was introduced between 6:00am and 7:00 am, which in early 1994 became ''The Reuters News Hour''. GMTV (an acronym for Good Morning Television), now legally known as ITV Breakfast Broadcasting Limited, was the name of the national Channel 3 breakfast television contractor/licensee, broadcasting in the United Kingdom from 1 January 1993 to 3 September 2010. John Stapleton (English Journalist)
John Martin Stapleton (born 24 February 1946) is an English journalist and broadcaster. He is known for his work as a presenter and reporter on ITV breakfast television (''TV-am'', ''GMTV'' and '' Daybreak'') in addition to hosting '' Nationwide'' and ''Watchdog'' for the BBC. He won the Royal Television Society's News Presenter of the Year award for 2003, and was married to the late presenter Lynn Faulds Wood. Together they presented ''Watchdog'' between 1985 and 1993. Clare Lyn Nasir (born 20 June 1970) is an English meteorologist, author, and TV presenter.
