United Soccer Leagues 2010
The 2010 season is the 24th season played by the United Soccer Leagues. Season titles will be contested by 6 professional men's clubs in the USL Second Division, 29 professional and amateur women's clubs in the W-League, and 68 professional and amateur men's teams in the USL Premier Development League. The remaining USL First Division teams that did not break away to form the North American Soccer League, as well as the NASL teams, will play in the D2 Pro League this year. The Second Division season started on April 17 with 3 games: Charleston Battery at Charlotte Eagles, Richmond Kickers hosting Harrisburg City Islanders, and Pittsburgh Riverhounds at Real Maryland Monarchs. The season closed on August 14 with Pittsburgh at Harrisburg, Real Maryland at Richmond, and Charleston hosting Charlotte. Crystal Palace Baltimore
Crystal Palace Baltimore was an American professional soccer team based in Baltimore, Maryland, US. Founded in 2006, the club was originally named Crystal Palace USA and was affiliated with English side Crystal Palace F.C., Crystal Palace. The club was a member of the old USL Second Division and the temporary USSF Division 2 Professional League. Ian Fuller
Ian Fuller (born August 31, 1979) is a former American soccer player who currently serves as an assistant coach for Minnesota United FC. Career Youth and college Fuller grew up in Tualatin, Oregon, and attended Tualatin High School where he was a three-time first team All State soccer player. He then played college soccer at Clemson University from 1998 to 2001. Professional Fuller was drafted in the second round (21st overall) of the 2002 MLS SuperDraft by New England Revolution. He played eleven regular season and three playoff games before being waived on November 4, 2002. In February 2003, he signed with the Rochester Rhinos of the USL First Division. Fuller spent the 2003 and 2004 seasons in Rochester, and played the first two games of the 2005 season, before moving to the Vancouver Whitecaps. In 2006, Fuller signed with the Charleston Battery. Colin Falvey
Colin Falvey (born 20 June 1985) is an Irish former professional footballer who played as a centre-back. Career Ireland Falvey was born in Cork. He was a trainee and youth player at English clubs Gillingham and Carlisle United, but began his professional career in 2004 with Cobh Ramblers in the League of Ireland, scoring on his debut vs Athlone Town. He transferred to Kilkenny City prior to the 2007 campaign for a compensation fee because he was under the age of 23, and was made club captain upon arrival. University Of Richmond Stadium
City Stadium is a sports stadium in Richmond, Virginia. It is owned by the City of Richmond and is located south of the Carytown district off the Downtown Expressway. The stadium was built in 1929 and seats approximately 22,000 people when both stands are used. It has been used by the Richmond Kickers of USL League One since 1995, at a capacity of 6,000. The stadium was used by the University of Richmond for American football from 1929 to 2009. Lee Kouadio (born October 27, 1987) is an Ivorian former footballer who played for Pittsburgh Riverhounds in the USL Second Division. Career College and Amateur Kouadio-Tobey moved from his native Côte d'Ivoire to the United States as a teenager, settling in Woodlyn, Pennsylvania. Michael Burke (born February 25, 1977) is a retired American soccer player. Career College and Amateur Burke attended Loyola University Maryland, playing two seasons of college soccer. In 1997, he left college early for personal reasons. His professional soccer career started in his hometown of Jacksonville, FL. He spent time with Deportivo Cali in Colombia and Nottingham Forest in England. Professional Burke began his professional career in 1998 when he signed with the Jacksonville Cyclones of the A-League. Late in the season, Michael Burke asked to be released to pursue other teams. Robert Foglesong (born February 8, 1987) is an American soccer player. Career Youth and College Foglesong attended Stafford Senior High School, where he won three All-District first team honors, and was an All-Region first team, All-Metro, and All-State Honorable Mention honors during senior season, before playing four years of college soccer at Old Dominion University. Having been a member of the Richmond Kickers Super Y-League program for several seasons, Foglesong also played with the Richmond Kickers Future and the Hampton Roads Piranhas in the USL Premier Development League. Matthew Delicâte
Matthew Delicâte (born 7 February 1982) is an English retired footballer who played for Richmond Kickers in the United Soccer League. Career College and amateur Born in England, Delicâte grew up in Boncath in Wales, and began his playing career in at the age of 17, playing for Carmarthen Town in the League of Wales during the 1999–2000 season. After scoring a hat-trick on his Carmarthen debut in a 6–1 away win at Haverfordwest County in August 1999, he was a regular scorer until he departed the following April after making 12 league starts when he was awarded a college soccer scholarship at Virginia Commonwealth University.
