United Nations Appeals Tribunal (UNAT)
The United Nations Appeals Tribunal (UNAT), which replaces the former United Nations Administrative Tribunal, is an appellate court, of the two-tier formal system of administration of justice in the UN. It was established by the UN General Assembly in December 2008 to review appeals against judgments rendered by the United Nations Dispute Tribunal (UNDT). UNAT, including its registry, is based in New York, and holds sessions in New York City, Geneva and Nairobi, as required by caseload. It held its first session in Geneva in 2010. The UNAT is a component of the UN's Internal Justice System, and is listed as an office, along with UNDT and the Office of the United Nations Ombudsman, under the UN secretariat. United Nations Administrative Tribunal
The United Nations Administrative Tribunal (UNAT) was established by the United Nations General Assembly in 1950 to be the final arbiter over alleged non-observance of contracts of employment and other binding regulations of all staff working in the United Nations Secretariat. As of 30 June 2009 the mandate of the United Nations Administrative Tribunal has ended. The new internal justice system, United Nations Appeals Tribunal (UNAT) went into effect on 1 July 2009. Office Of Staff Legal Assistance (OSLA)
The UN General Assembly in December 2008 authorized the establishment of the Office of Staff Legal Assistance (OSLA) to strength "professional legal assistance for staff" to succeed the Panel of Counsel. OSLA has offices in New York, Addis Ababa, Beirut, Geneva and Nairobi. OSLA Staff OSLA has permanent staff consisting of 10: Chief of Unit (P-5), one Legal Officer (P3), one Legal Officer (P-2) and three Legal Assistants (General Service) in New York, and one Legal Officer(P-3) each in Addis Ababa, Beirut, Geneva and Nairobi. EBRD
The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) is an international financial institution founded in 1991. As a multilateral developmental investment bank, the EBRD uses investment as a tool to build market economies.
