''Union J'' is the self-titled debut studio album by English boy band Union J. It was released in the United Kingdom on 28 October 2013 through RCA Records, and debuted at number six on the UK Albums Chart. " Carry You" was released as the album's first single in June 2013 and reached number-six in the United Kingdom, marking the group's first top ten track. In September 2013, the band confirmed their second single would be " Beautiful Life". It was released on 21 October, preceding the release of their debut studio-album by one week. The third single was " Loving You Is Easy" which charted at number 9 in Ireland, and charted in the lower regions of the UK Singles Chart. Union J promoted the album by embarking on their first headlining tour, the Magazines + TV Screens Tour, throughout December 2013 and January 2014, in support of their first record release. Union J
Union J are an English boy band, consisting of members JJ Hamblett, Jaymi Hensley, George Shelley and Josh Cuthbert. Shelley left the group in 2016 and was replaced by Casey Johnson, who left several months later, Cuthbert left the group in 2018 leaving the band as duo until they disbanded in 2019. The band formed in 2011, originally as a trio known as Triple J, consisting of Cuthbert, Hamblett and Hensley. They auditioned for the ninth series of the British television music competition ''The X Factor'' where they met Shelley who joined the band at the judges' request. They finished fourth and were subsequently signed to Sony Music subsidiary RCA Records. Their debut single " Carry You" was released in June 2013. Their self-titled debut studio album followed in October 2013 and peaked at number 6 on the UK Albums Chart. Union J left RCA Records in April 2014 and signed with Epic Records. Capital's Summertime Ball is a mini-festival in London, held on either first or second Saturday or Sunday of June by the radio station Capital. The first ball was at Emirates Stadium in 2009, and it has since been held at Wembley Stadium. The 2020 Summertime Ball was to be held at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium because Wembley was due to host games of Euro 2020, but was eventually cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
