''Under a Pale Grey Sky'' is a live album by Sepultura, released on September 24, 2002, through Roadrunner Records. The album was recorded in the Brixton Academy, London on December 16, 1996. Max Cavalera left Sepultura shortly after the concert, following an argument with his band mates outside the band's touring bus. The two other bands performing on that same night were Strife and Floodgate. Album information The album was released by Roadrunner Records after dropping Sepultura from the label. The current band do not list the album as part of their discography. The set list for the show sees the band play the majority of that year's ''Roots'' album, as well as the most popular songs from their previous albums. Francisco de Assis França (March 13, 1966 – February 2, 1997), better known as Chico Science, was a Brazilian singer and composer and one of the founders of the manguebeat cultural movement. He died in a car accident in 1997 in Recife, Pernambuco, at the age of 30. Biography Francisco de Assis França was born in the Rio Doce neighbourhood of Olinda, Pernambuco, in Brazil's Northeast Region. As a little boy he would sell crabs that he caught himself in the city's mangrove swamps. Paulo Jr
Paulo Xisto Pinto Júnior (born 30 April 1969) is a Brazilian musician best known as the bassist for heavy metal band Sepultura. He joined Sepultura after Roberto Raffan left the band in 1984, becoming Sepultura's second bassist. Although no original members are left in Sepultura, Pinto is the longest remaining member of Sepultura despite never performing on any album until ''Chaos A.D.'' (1993). Early life and influences Paulo Jr. was born in Belo Horizonte, where he grew up with two brothers and a younger sister. His father was a lawyer. He received his first bass guitar, a white Giannini, when he was 15. In an interview, Paulo Jr. commended his parents for supporting the band in its early days. Andreas Kisser
Andreas Rudolf Kisser (; born 24 August 1968) is a Brazilian musician, best known for being the lead guitarist for the metal band Sepultura. He has been featured on every Sepultura release since their second album, ''Schizophrenia''. Additionally, Kisser has also been involved in other bands such as the rock supergroup Hail!, Sexoturica and, more recently, De La Tierra. Max Cavalera
Massimiliano Antonio "Max" Cavalera (; born August 4, 1969) is a Brazilian musician. He co-founded the heavy metal band Sepultura in 1984 with his brother Igor Cavalera, and was the band's lead singer and rhythm guitarist until his departure in 1996. He currently plays in the heavy metal bands Soulfly, Cavalera Conspiracy and Killer Be Killed. Cavalera was also involved in a short-lived side project called Nailbomb. Motörhead () were an English rock band formed in London in 1975 by Lemmy (lead vocals, bass), Larry Wallis (guitar) and Lucas Fox (drums). "Ratamahatta" is a song by Brazilian metal band Sepultura. It was the third and final single from the band's 1996 album ''Roots''. It is also the last Sepultura single to feature founding frontman Max Cavalera. The song is amongst the band's best-known and remains a concert staple to this day. A music video was created for the song using stop-motion animation which explores the themes of the song. This video can be found on the VHS ''Sepultura: We Are What We Are'', which was later released on DVD as part of ''Chaos DVD''. Cro-Mags are an American hardcore punk band from New York City. The band, which has a strong cult following, has released six studio albums, with the first two considered the most influential. With a Hare Krishna background, they were among the first bands to fuse hardcore punk with thrash metal. Cro-Mags have gone through many line-up changes since the band's beginnings. Titãs () are a Brazilian rock band from São Paulo. Though they basically play pop/alternative rock, their music has touched a number of other styles throughout their 30-year career, such as new wave, punk rock, grunge, MPB and electronic music. They are one of the most successful rock bands in Brazil, having sold more than 6.3 million albums as of 2005 and having been covered by several well-known Brazilian artists and a couple of international singers. They were awarded a Latin Grammy in 2009 and have won the Imprensa Trophy for Best Band a record four times. Polícia (song)
"Polícia" is the fifth single by Titãs, from the album '' Cabeça Dinossauro'', released in 1986. The song, written just after Tony Bellotto and Arnaldo Antunes were arrested for heroin traffic, criticizes the police. According to Branco Mello, vocalist of the band, the album ''Cabeça Dinossauro'' had "much of that disappointment of being arrested and to know you are not a criminal". Sérgio Britto recorded the first take of his lead vocals while overhearing a conversation between producer Liminha and Evandro Mesquita about spearfishing, which made him angry. He wanted to record a second performance, but his band mates convinced him the first attempt was fine. Besides, he only had three minutes to record his part. Slave New World
"Slave New World" is Sepultura's sixth official single, and the final of three to be taken from the album '' Chaos A.D.'', released in 1994. The lyrics were co-written by Evan Seinfeld from Sepultura's Roadrunner label-mates Biohazard. Like most of the band's singles, the song is one of the band's best-known songs and remains a concert staple to this day. A music video was filmed for the single which features the band playing on what appears to be a volcano, intercut with footage of severe human conditioning, including branding people with barcodes. This video can be found on the VHS ''Third World Chaos'', which was later released on DVD as part of ''Chaos DVD''. The title of the song is a wordplay of Aldous Huxley's 1932 dystopian novel ''Brave New World.'' Dead Embryonic Cells
"Dead Embryonic Cells" is Sepultura's second single, as well as the second of three to be released from the album '' Arise''. A music video for the song was produced and can be found on the VHS release ''Third World Chaos'', which itself was released on DVD as part of ''Chaos DVD''. The video features footage of the band performing in the wilderness accompanied by imagery from the album. At this stage in their career, the band had recorded little material to be used as B-sides, which is why the Arise singles are so similar. This single and the next, " Under Siege (Regnum Irae)" have exactly the same artwork (a detail of the ''Arise'' album cover artwork by Michael Whelan) and B-sides.
