Undead is the ninth studio album by American death metal band Six Feet Under. It is their first album to feature drummer Kevin Talley and guitarist Rob Arnold. Six Feet Under (band)
Six Feet Under is an American death metal band from Tampa, Florida, formed in 1993. The band consists of five members: founding vocalist Chris Barnes, guitarists Ray Suhy and Jack Owen, bassist Jeff Hughell and drummer Marco Pitruzzella. It was originally a side project formed by Barnes with guitarist Allen West of Obituary, but became a full-time commitment after Barnes was dismissed from Cannibal Corpse in 1995. ''Death Rituals'' is the eighth studio album by American death metal band Six Feet Under. It was released on November 11, 2008, through Metal Blade Records. It is also available in a limited digipak edition with three live bonus tracks. On October 6, 2008, the song "Shot in the Head" was posted at Brave Words & Bloody Knuckles as part of their "Knuckle Tracks" online player. The song was removed on October 12, 2008. Another song titled "Seed Of Filth" was available for streaming on the Metal Blade Records MySpace page from October 21, 2008. The song was also released as the album's first single. Kevin Talley
Kevin Talley (born May 21, 1979) is an American heavy metal drummer for Sylencer and Feared. He was part of Dying Fetus, Misery Index, Six Feet Under, Nothnegal, Chimaira, Suffocation and Dååth, and toured with Battlecross in 2013. History Talley filled in on drums with The Black Dahlia Murder after their touring drummer, Pierre Langlois, was denied entry into the States by his home country of Canada. He was a session drummer on Soils of Fate's 2003 release ''Crime Syndicate''. He filled in with The Red Chord for their 2006 tour, and was also filling in with Hate Eternal for their 2006 North American tour, after Derek Roddy left the band due to personal reasons. In May and June 1998, Kevin filled in the drum throne for Suffocation on their U.S. tour. Rob Arnold
Rob Arnold (born January 3, 1980) is an American musician, best known for performing as the lead guitarist of the metal band Chimaira and later the rhythm guitarist of the death metal band Six Feet Under. In an interview with Roadrunner Records, he named Kirk Hammett, "Dimebag" Darrell Abbott, Dave Mustaine, Marty Friedman and Kerry King as being influential to his playing stylSome of his favorite bands include Metallica, Megadeth, Slayer, Pantera, Sepultura, and Cannibal Corpse. Allen West (musician)
Allen West (born October 17, 1967, Brandon, Florida, United States) is an American death metal guitarist, who has been a member of Massacre, Obituary, Six Feet Under, Lowbrow, and Southwicked. He is considered to be a pioneering figure of the death metal genre in the 1980s. Musical career West formed the band Massacre in 1983, while he was still in high school. West's second band was Xecutioner, which laid down the foundation of Obituary. West helped co-found Six Feet Under with vocalist Chris Barnes of Cannibal Corpse in 1993. Initially a side project of Barnes, it became a full-time band in early 1995 after his departure from Cannibal Corpse. Chris Barnes (born December 29, 1967) is an American death metal vocalist. He is noted for his low guttural vocals and explicitly violent lyrics. He was the co-founder, original lead vocalist and songwriter of Cannibal Corpse from 1988 to 1995, later working as part of Six Feet Under, and has appeared on Torture Killer's second album ''Swarm!'' Barnes designed the original Cannibal Corpse logo, the Six Feet Under logo and also created the artwork for ''Warpath'', released in 1997. Career Early career Barnes started his career at the age of 19. His first band was a death/thrash band called Tirant Sin, which was formed in 1986 in his hometown of Buffalo, New York.
