Unconsecrated (album)
''Unconsecrated'' is the debut studio album by Australian deathcore band The Red Shore, released on 8 November 2008. It was originally set for a 22 September release through Siege of Amida Records, but was delayed. A limited edition was released as a CD/DVD package containing a documentary and live performance. Background information In an interview with Australian underground magazine ''Death Before Dishonour'', Jamie Hope revealed that at the time of lead singer Damien Morris' death the band was working on their debut album, as a result the album will feature three tracks with Damien on vocals and the rest with Jamie Hope. He also revealed that the album will feature a slew of guest vocals from Brandan Schieppati of Bleeding Through, Hernan Hermida of All Shall Perish, Karl Schubach of Misery Signals and Dan Weyandt of Zao. The Red Shore
The Red Shore are an Australian deathcore band from Geelong, Victoria, formed in 2004. They signed to Big Phat Adelaide Records and Modern Music in 2006 and released their first EP, ''Salvaging What's Left''. In late 2007, the band raised national headlines when they were involved in a fatal bus crash while on tour, claiming the lives of vocalist Damien Morris and roadie Andy Milner. Following the accident, the members decided to continue as a band with bass player Jamie Hope moving up to vocals as well as signing to Siege of Amida Records. The group released their debut album, ''Unconsecrated'', in 2008. Their final album, '' The Avarice of Man'' (2010), was the first to be released through Roadrunner Australia and featured a more straightforward and pure technical death metal sound, it was also the group's only release that included The Red Shore's third vocalist Chase Butler following Hope's departure from The Red Shore in 2009. Karl Schubach
Misery Signals is an American-Canadian metalcore band formed in Wisconsin in 2002. History Formation (2002–2003) Misery Signals was formed after the disbanding of several bands, including 7 Angels 7 Plagues, Hamartia, and Compromise. Having played briefly with 7 Angels 7 Plagues, former Compromise vocalist, Jesse Zaraska, was approached by Ryan Morgan and Kyle Johnson for a new project which would become Misery Signals. Jeff Aust from Hamartia joined on as second guitar and Ryan Morgan's brother Branden joined as the band's drummer. Aust soon left the band and has since gone on to join With Honor. He was replaced by Stu Ross, a friend of Jesse Zaraska's from St. Albert, Alberta. In 2003 the band released its eponymous debut EP. The EP was dedicated to the memory of Jordan Wodehouse and Daniel Langlois, who were killed by a drunk driver on Interstate 20 near Heflin, Alabama while on tour with their band Compromise in support of 7 Angels 7 Plagues. Daniel Weyandt is the third and current vocalist of the American metalcore band, Zao. He was also the bassist for Seasons in the Field and current bassist for Lonely//Ghost//Parade. Weyandt is also a tattooer and owns a shop in his hometown, Greensburg, Pennsylvania. History According to Zao's DVD, ''The Lesser Lights of Heaven'', Weyandt started his music career with the band Seasons in the Field with friends Guitarist Russ Cogdell, Drummer Bob Bigelow, and Vocalist Jason Keener in 1996, which were originally named Sower. I Killed the Prom Queen were an Australian metalcore band from Adelaide, formed in 2000. They were prominent in the Australian live music scene and toured the US, Japan and parts of Europe several times. They issued three studio albums: ''When Goodbye Means Forever...'' (2003), ''Music for the Recently Deceased'' (2006) – the latter reached the top 30 on the ARIA Charts, ARIA Albums Chart, and most recently ''Beloved (I Killed the Prom Queen album), Beloved'' (2014). Zao (US Band)
Zao () is an American metalcore band founded in Parkersburg, West Virginia and later relocated to Greensburg, Pennsylvania. Founded in March 1993, Zao has hosted several musicians and endured numerous roster changes to the point where no original members remain. Former drummer Jesse Smith, vocalist Dan Weyandt, and guitarists Scott Mellinger and Russ Cogdell are seen by some fans as the "core" of Zao, with the current line up being the longest running in the band's history. All Shall Perish was an American deathcore band from Oakland, California, formed in 2002. The band was signed to Nuclear Blast and have released four full-length albums through the label. Their final album, ''This Is Where It Ends,'' was released on July 26, 2011. All Shall Perish are noted for being one of the earliest pioneering bands in the deathcore genre. Deathcore
Deathcore is an extreme metal subgenre that combines death metal with metalcore. The genre consists of death metal guitar riffs, blast beats, and metalcore breakdowns.
