Forced Entry (band)
Forced Entry is an American thrash metal band, formed in 1983 in Seattle, Washington under the name Critical Condition. The band released two studio albums, one EP and three demos before breaking up in 1995, and briefly reunited in 2002. They announced in 2020 that they were planning to reunite again for a series of shows and possibly new material. Although Forced Entry never achieved mainstream success, they are often regarded as pioneers of the Seattle thrash metal scene, along with Metal Church, Panic, Bitter End, Coven, R.I.P. and Sanctuary (whom guitarist Brad Hull would join when they reunited in 2010, but left in 2015 after just one album). London Bridge Studio
London Bridge Studio is a recording studio near Seattle that has hosted and recorded many influential artists, producers and engineers since 1985. Founded by brothers Rick Parashar, Rick and Raj Parashar and now currently owned by producers Geoff Ott, Jonathan Plum, and Eric Lilavois. The space was designed by notable studio designer Geoff Turner (Little Mountain Studios, Pinewood Studios) and features of tall ceilings, hardwood floors, brick walls and live acoustics. Combat Records
Combat Records was an American independent record label founded in 1983 and based in New York City. The label specifically was for heavy metal and punk rock acts, Notable artist include: Megadeth, Circle Jerks, Nuclear Assault, OZ, Death, Dead Brain Cells, Possessed, Crumbsuckers, Agnostic Front, Agent Steel, Dark Angel, Heathen, Zoetrope and Exodus. Rick Parashar
Rakesh "Rick" Parashar (December 13, 1963 – August 14, 2014) was an American record producer, recording engineer and musician. Along with his brother Raj, he founded London Bridge Studio in Seattle, Washington, in 1985. During his career he worked with and helped develop many local artists, including Alice in Chains, Pearl Jam, Brandi Carlile and My Goodness. Helmed by Parashar's production and recording services, London Bridge became the center of the Seattle music scene. His credits include multi-platinum releases for Temple of the Dog, Alice in Chains, Pearl Jam, Blind Melon and Dinosaur Jr. Parashar's projects were not just limited to Seattle artists; in 2001 he produced 3 Doors Down's multi-platinum record ''Away from the Sun'', and was nominated for a Grammy for Nickelback's ''Silver Side Up'', which sold in excess of six million copies. ''As Above, So Below'' is the second and final full-length studio album by American thrash metal band Forced Entry. It was released on June 14, 1991, on Relativity Records, and re-issued in 2009 on Lost and Found Records. Music videos for "Macrocosm, Microcosm" and "Never A Know, But the No" were produced, the latter of which featured a cameo by members of Alice in Chains. ''As Above, So Below'' is considered a classic album of the early 1990s thrash metal scene. The tones and directions of this album are considerably more diverse than the straightforward thrash of ''Uncertain Future'', consisting of elements of progressive, punk and groove metal, with more technical song structures and tempo changes, as well as a power ballad ("Never a Know, But the No").
