Una Gita Scolastica
''A School Outing'' ( it, Una gita scolastica) is a 1983 Italian comedy-drama film written and directed by Pupi Avati. It entered the 40° Venice Film Festival. The film won the Nastro d'Argento Awards for Best Director, Best Score, Best Actor, Best New Actress and Best Original Script. Plot An old lady recalls the most beautiful memory of her life: a school trip from Bologna to Florence, through the Apennines, on the eve of graduation exam in the early twentieth century. The thirty boys are accompanied by the teacher of letters and drawing. The latter will have a love affair with one of the pupils. But the professor, in love with her, will defend her from scandal. Enzo Sciotti
Enzo Sciotti (24 September 1944 – 11 April 2021) was an Italian artist and illustrator. Sciotti was known for his illustrations of more than 3000 movie posters, typically for horror films, including '' The Beyond'', ''Demons'', ''The Blood of Heroes'' and several other Lucio Fulci, Dario Argento, and Lamberto Bava films. He also painted covers for comics and home video releases. Early life Enzo Sciotti was born in Rome, Italy, on 24 September 1944. His father, Emanuele Sciotti, was a church decorator, and many members of the Sciotti family were painters. As a teenager, Enzo drew a portrait of Pope John XXIII; his family sent it to the Vatican, and received a response from the Pope, who praised him. Rossana Casale
Rossana Casale (born July 21, 1959) is an Italian singer. Biography Casale was born in New York City to an Italian-American father, photographer Giac Casale, and an Italian mother. Shortly after her birth the family moved to Venice, Italy, then to Milan, where Casale grew up. Her music career began in the late 1970s as backing vocalist for a band called Albero Motore. She also did session work for many dance music productions such as Klein & MBO, Kano, Mike Francis and Pink Project. Casale enrolled in the Conservatory G. Verdi in Milan where she studied singing and percussion. Casale's first single as a solo artist, "Didin" (1982), was co-written with Alberto Fortis, while her first album, ''Rossana Casale'', was released in 1984 and produced by members of Premiata Forneria Marconi. Lidia Broccolino (born 10 July 1958) is an Italian film, television and stage actress. Life and career Born Lidia Broccolini in Chieti, she debuted in 1982, in the indie drama ''Fuori dal giorno''. She became first known thanks to Pupi Avati, who chose her to play one of the main roles, the delicate Laura, in his critically appreciated '' Una gita scolastica''. For her performance Broccolino won the Silver Ribbon for best new actress. Giuseppe Avati, better known as Pupi Avati (born 3 November 1938), is an Italian film director, producer, and screenwriter. He is known to horror film fans for his two giallo masterpieces, ''The House with Laughing Windows'' (1976) and '' Zeder'' (1983). Early life and career Pupi Avati was born in Bologna in 1938. After attending school and studying Political Science at the University of Florence, he started working at a frozen food company. At the same time, he developed a passion for jazz, becoming a proficient clarinetist. In the second half of the 1950s, he formed and played in the Doctor Dixie Jazz Band, of which Lucio Dalla was also a member. Although he initially intended to be a professional musician, Avati felt he lacked the necessary talent.
