UnAmerican (band)
UnAmerican were an English rock band based out of London. The group was fronted by former World Party member Steve McEwan. Biography Steve McEwan played guitar in World Party, and while in the group began working with fellow member Guy Chambers on a side project. They wrote several songs together which would later be included on UnAmerican's debut album. After Chambers left to work with Robbie Williams, McEwan recruited Matthew Crozer from a London band called Ugli, and Peter Clarke and Tim Bye from a group called Bugs. UnAmericanat Allmusic The group were signed by Estupendo Records, a Universal subsidiary, after only a few live shows. Their debut self-titled record was released early in 2000. World Party
World Party were a British musical group, which was essentially the solo project of its sole member, Karl Wallinger. He started the band in 1986 in London after leaving the Waterboys. Career After a stint as musical director of a West End performance of ''The Rocky Horror Picture Show'', Karl Wallinger joined a funk band called "The Out", before joining Mike Scott's Waterboys in 1984 to record the album ''A Pagan Place''. After their third album in 1985, ''This Is the Sea'', Wallinger departed to form World Party. Guy Chambers
Guy Antony Chambers (born 12 January 1963) is an English songwriter, musician and record producer, best known for his work with Robbie Williams. Education Chambers attended Quarry Bank Comprehensive School sixth form in Liverpool. From 18, he studied composition and piano at the Guildhall School of Music, London. Career Chambers joined World Party in 1986. He co-wrote 'Love Street' with Karl Wallinger on the band's album ''Goodbye Jumbo''. He appeared on The Mission's album ''Carved in Sand'', providing the orchestral arrangement and piano for the song "Grapes of Wrath", and was producer for the short-lived group Stress with their debut album.
