The Ballad Of Paul K
"Ultraviolet" / "The Ballad of Paul K" is the fourth and final single from British pop rock band McFly's second studio album, '' Wonderland'' (2005). It is a double A-side single and was released on 12 December 2005. The single peaked at 9 on the UK Singles Chart (their first not to reach the top five in that country) and No. 25 on the Irish Singles Chart Song information Both tracks were written by McFly members Tom Fletcher and Danny Jones, with "The Ballad of Paul K" being written also by Dougie Poynter, who was the principal writer. The Ballad of Paul K was based on the members of McFly's fathers. The song is about a middle-aged man coming to terms with his life. The song "Ultraviolet" was initially called "Summer Girls". Music videos The "Ultraviolet" video was simply a montage of clips filmed at Live at McFly's Wonderland Tour 2005, Manchester and Behind the Scenes of their first Arena tour. Charles Richard Wilson (born 17 January 1978) is an English singer-songwriter, artist and the frontman of five-piece band Kaiser Chiefs. Before the formation of the band, in 2003, Wilson was a member of the band Runston Parva (later known as Parva), which consisted of members of Kaiser Chiefs. On 19 September 2013, Wilson was confirmed as a coach on ''The Voice UK''. He was the winning coach for both the fourth and fifth series of the show, being the only coach to win two years consecutively. Nicholas James David Hodgson (born 20 October 1977) is an English drummer, backing vocalist, and songwriter, formerly of the indie rock band Kaiser Chiefs. Early life He attended St. Mary's Menston with Nick Baines and Simon Rix. He then went on to Trinity & All Saints University College in Horsforth, Leeds, where he studied Media. The Live Lounge is a segment on the British radio stations BBC Radio 1 and BBC Radio 1Xtra. It was originally hosted by Simon Mayo, and later by Jo Whiley on her weekday mid-morning, and later weekend lunchtime radio shows, then by Fearne Cotton from 2009 until 2015, and then by Clara Amfo from May 2015 to August 2021. Since September 2021 the segment is now hosted by Rickie Haywood-Williams, Melvin Odoom and Charlie Hedges. "I Predict a Riot" is a song by English indie rock band Kaiser Chiefs, appearing on their debut album, ''Employment'' (2005). It was originally released as their second single on 1 November 2004 and was the band's first release on the B-Unique label. It entered at number 22 on the UK Singles Chart. When re-released in 2005 as a double A-side with "Sink that Ship", it peaked at number nine on the UK chart. It was used in the 2005 racing video game Gran Turismo 4 as a song that would play during races and race replays, and was also used in Guitar Hero 3.
