Ultimate Diamond
''Ultimate Diamond'' is the seventh studio album released by Japanese voice actress and pop singer Nana Mizuki on June 3, 2009. It was released in two editions: a CD only edition and a limited CD+DVD edition. The first press of the album has a 44-page booklet. A limited CD+DVD edition of the album included a DVD of a concert at the Shinjuku Koma Theater on October 11, 2008. At the concert, she covered two enka songs: Fuyumi Sakamoto's "Yozakura Oshichi" and Mitsuko Nakamura's "Kawachi Otoko Bushi". The limited DVD included the two songs. The album reached number 1 in Japan's Oricon weekly albums charts for the week of June 15, 2009, and became the first album from a voice actress to accomplish that feat since the creation of Oricon. Nana Mizuki
is a Japanese voice actress, singer and narrator from Niihama, Ehime. She is represented by the agency StarCrew. Mizuki was trained as an enka singer, releasing one single under her birth name, Nana Kondō, in 1993 and made her debut as a voice actress in 1996. Enka
is a Japanese music genre considered to resemble traditional Japanese music stylistically. Modern ''enka'', however, is a relatively recent musical form, which adopts a more traditional musical style in its vocalism than ''ryūkōka'' music, popular during the prewar years. Elements Garden
Elements Garden is a Japanese group of music composers, or a "music production brand" as they call themselves. They generally produce music for video games, anime and recording artists. They are attached to Aria Entertainment. The group was formed in 2004 by Noriyasu Agematsu, Junpei Fujita, Hitoshi Fujima and Daisuke Kikuta, former members of ''Feel'', a band of composers that similarly composed music for games and anime that disbanded shortly after Elements Garden's formation. Agematsu acts as the lead representative for the group. Elements Garden released their eponymous first album in August 2008, a compilation of various game theme songs produced over the past years. Fuyumi Sakamoto
is a Japanese female enka singer under EMI Music Japan. Career Having won a singing contest in early 1986, and after receiving about 11 months of vocal training, Sakamoto debuted as an enka recording singer with the single "Abare Daiko" in March 1987, and was well received. In 1988, she took part in the 39th NHK Kōhaku Uta Gassen (New Year's Eve "song battle") for the first time. As of 2017, she has taken part 29 times, missing only the 53rd (2002) edition due to illness. This achievement placed Sakamoto on the 5th place (tied with another enka veteran Harumi Miyako) for the most Kōhaku appearances for a female artist. Sakamoto was also a vocalist of rock band HIS ( ja) with bassist and producer Haruomi Hosono and guitarist Kiyoshiro Imawano, though Imawano died in 2009.
