Ulisses Braga Neto
Ulisses M. Braga Neto (born Feb 12 1971) is a Brazilian-American electrical engineer and is currently Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Texas A&M University. His main research areas are statistical pattern recognition, machine learning, signal and image processing, and systems biology. He has worked extensively in the field of error estimation for pattern recognition and machine learning, having published with Edward R. Dougherty the first book dedicated to this topic. He also made contributions to the field of Mathematical morphology in signal and image processing. Biography Braga Neto was born in Recife, Brazil in 1971. He received the baccalaureate degree in Electrical Engineering from Universidade Federal de Pernambuco in 1992, and the master's degree, also in Electrical Engineering, from the Universidade Estadual de Campinas (UNICAMP) in 1994. An image is a visual representation of something. It can be two-dimensional, three-dimensional, or somehow otherwise feed into the visual system to convey information.
