Ukunda Airport
Ukunda Airport is a small airfield near Diani Beach in Kwale County, Kenya. The airport serves the local areas of Diani, Tiwi and Msambweni. Services The airport started operating Air Kenya services to and from Nairobi's Wilson airport as of 2013. Many services used to be private charter, providing tourist access between beach resorts and inland game reserves. The start of budget airlines that ferry domestic and international tourists back and forth to Nairobi has sped up the development of Diani Beach as the main tourist beach hub in Kenya. Kwale County
Kwale County is a county in the former Coast Province of Kenya. Its capital is Kwale, although Ukunda is the largest town. Kwale county has an estimated population of 649,931. Kwale is mainly an inland county, but it has coastline south of Mombasa. Diani Beach is part of the Msambweni division. Shimba Hills National Reserve and Mwaluganje elephant sanctuary are other attractions in the county. Distribution and demographics The main ethnic communities in the county include the Digo and Duruma clans of the larger Mijikenda tribe and also a significant presence of the Kamba tribe. Diani Beach
Diani Beach is a major beach on the Indian Ocean coast of Kenya (in eastern Africa). It is located south of Mombasa, in Kwale County. It has been voted Africa's leading beach destination for the fifth time running since 2015. Tourism The beach is about long, from the Kongo river to the north and Galu beach to the south (the southern point of reference is an old Baobab tree). Msambweni
Msambweni (meaning "land of Msambwe") in Swahili) is a small fishing town and constituency in Kwale County of southeastern Kenya, formerly in Kwale District of Coast Province. The origin of the name, Msambwe (plural Misambwe) is a hardy and wild fruits () tree indigenous to Msambweni.
