Uhlenhorster HC
Uhlenhorster Hockey-Club e. V. (also known as UHC Hamburg) is a German professional field hockey and tennis club based in Hamburg. It was founded in 1901, since 1923 their home ground is located in Hummelsbüttel, Wandsbek. Uhlenhorster HC is one of the most successful clubs in Germany, both at the Senior and Academy levels, with squads playing in the Men's and Women's Bundesligas. The men's side have won the Euro Hockey League three times. Uhlenhorster Hockey Club Academy is one of the leading hockey academies in Europe and has produced a number of international players. 2018 EuroHockey Club Champions Cup
The 2018 EuroHockey Club Champions Cup was the 46th edition of the premier European competition for women's field hockey clubs. HC Den Bosch were the defending champions, having won their 15th title in the 2017 EuroHockey Club Champions Cup. The tournament took place from 17 to 20 May. Sos Hayrapetyan
Sos Hayrapetyan (also Airapetian, hy, Սոս Հայրապէտյան, born 12 September 1959) is a retired field hockey defender from Armenia. He won four Soviet Cups (1982, 1983, 1986, 1987), eight Soviet championships (1980–1987), two European Cups (1982, 1983) and one Intercontinental Cup (1981), and medaled at the 1980 Summer Olympics and 1983 European Championship. Hayrapetyan was named an Honoured Master of Sports of the USSR in 1984. His son Levon is an association football player. Biography Hayrapetyan first trained in football and took up field hockey only in 1976. Within a few years, he had grown into one of the leading Soviet players. He started his club career in 1978 with SKA Sverdlovsk. In 1978 and 1979, he placed second at the Soviet championships, and in 1980 won the title. Shea McAleese
Shea Joseph McAleese (born 7 August 1984) is a New Zealand field hockey player who competed in the 2008 Summer Olympics and 2012 Summer Olympics, 2012 Olympics. He was part of the New Zealand team that won the bronze medal at the 2010 Commonwealth Games. Youngest son of Dan and Margie McAleese. Has an older brother and sister, Jonathan and Aimee. Shea McAleese played at Uhlenhorster HC, Uhlenhorster Hockey Club in Hamburg from 2007 till 2009. With the Team he won the Euro Hockey League Euro Hockey League 2007-08, 2007–2008. He also helped his team to a second-place finish in the competition in the Euro Hockey League 2008-09, 2008–2009 Season, when they were defeated by HC Bloemendaal of The Netherlands. He represents the Uttar Pradesh Wizards in the Hockey India League. He has also coached the Central Mavericks team in New Zealand. Matías Enrique Paredes (born 1 February 1982) is an Argentine field hockey player who plays as a midfielder or forward for Ducilo and the Argentine national team. Club career Paredes started his club career with Ducilo at age four in his native Argentina, before moving to Germany to play with UHC Hamburg in 2002. He then moved on to the Netherlands to play for Laren. He also played for SCHC in Bilthoven, Netherlands. International career Paredes made his debut for the national squad in 2001, and competed for his native country in the 2004 Summer Olympics and 2012 Summer Olympics. Germán Orozco
Germán Mariano Orozco (born 16 January 1976) is an Argentine field hockey defender, who made his debut for the Argentina men's national field hockey team in 1994. He competed for his native country in the 2000 Summer Olympics and the 2004 Summer Olympics. He studied kinesiology at the University of Salvador in Buenos Aires. Aged six, he started to play hockey at the Banco Nacional de Desarrollo Club. Orozco played club hockey, as of 2005, in Germany, at a club in Hamburg, named UHC Hamburg. Moritz Fürste
Moritz Fürste (born 28 October 1984) is a German field hockey player. He was a member of the Men's National Team that won the gold medal at the 2008 Summer Olympics and 2012 Summer Olympics as well as at the 2006 World Cup. He played at the Uhlenhorster Hockey Club in Hamburg from 1989 till 2012. He was captain of the team. He has guided his team to success in the Euro Hockey League on three occasions, winning the title in 2007–08, 2009–10 and 2011–12. Fürste also helped his team to a second-place finish in the competition in the 2008–09 Season, when they were defeated by HC Bloemendaal of The Netherlands. Florian Fuchs
Florian Fuchs (born 10 November 1991) is a German former field hockey player who played as a forward. Career At the 2012 Summer Olympics, he competed for the national team in the men's tournament. After the 2016 Summer Olympic, where he won the bronze medal, he transferred from Hamburg to Dutch club Bloemendaal. In the 2018–19 season, he won his first national title by defeating Kampong in the Dutch championship final with Bloemendaal. On 28 May 2021, he was named in the squads for the 2021 EuroHockey Championship and the 2020 Summer Olympics. Fuchs was named the FIH Young Player of the Year in 2012. In September 2021, Fuchs announced that he was retiring from international hockey. After the following season he also retired from club hockey. Benedikt Schwarzhaupt (born 14 January 2001) is a German field hockey player. Career Club level In club competition, Schwarzhaupt plays for Uhlenhorster HC in the German Bundesliga. Junior national team Benedikt Schwarzhaupt made his debut for the German U–21 team in 2019.
