Ugala
Ugala is a theatre in Viljandi, Estonia. The theatre was founded in 1920 opening on January 10 of that year. The first production was Oscar Wilde's " Salome". Viljandi
Viljandi (, german: Fellin, sv, Fellin) is a town and municipality in southern Estonia with a population of 17,407 in 2019. It is the capital of Viljandi County and is geographically located between two major Estonian cities, Pärnu and Tartu. The town was first mentioned in 1283, upon being granted its town charter by Wilhelm von Endorpe. The town became a member of the Hanseatic League at the beginning of the 14th century, and is one of five Estonian towns and cities in the league. The once influential Estonian newspaper '' Sakala'' was founded in Viljandi in 1878. Symbols The flag of Viljandi is bi-coloured, its upper part light blue and lower part white. The city's shield-shaped coat of arms is light blue, with a white rose in the middle. Viljandi is the white rose city – in midsummer there are 720 white roses flowering in front of the city hall, planted for the town's anniversary in 2003. Ott Aardam (born 1 July 1980) is an Estonian stage, television, and film actor. Early life Born and raised in Orissaare on the island of Saaremaa, he graduated from primary school in 1995 from Orissaare Gymnasium. In 1998, he graduated from secondary school from Saaremaa Gymnasium. Jaak Allik
Jaak Allik (born 6 October 1946) is an Estonian theatre critic, theatre director and politician. He is a member of the Social Democratic Party, and was previously the Estonian Minister of Culture 1995–1999 ( et, Eesti kultuuriminister). He was member of the VII, VIII and X Riigikogu. Personal life Jaak studied at the University of Tartu with a bachelor's degree in philosophy and a major in sociology and history, later working as a lecturer in that same university. He worked as a theater director and designer in the 1980s, becoming the set designer for Ugala. As Jaak had been a part of the Estonian Communist Party since 1971 (and, ultimately, the CPSU), he became part of groups such as the Supreme Soviet and involved with notable Estonian communists such as Mikk Titma and Indrek Toome. Eduard Tinn
Eduard Tinn (18 January 1899 Hummuli Parish – 27 March 1968 Tallinn) was an Estonian actor and theatre director. Tinn passed the examinations of as an assistant pharmacist at the Imperial Academy of Military Medicine in Saint Petersburg in 1917. He then studied pharmacy at the University of Tartu between 1917 and 1918 and was front-line pharmacist from 1919 and 1920 during the Estonian War of Independence. In 1927, he graduated from Drama Studio's theatre school in Tallinn. From 1927 until 1932, and from 1944 until 1968, he was an actor in Estonian Drama Theatre.
