Ubon Ratchathani railway station ( th, สถานีรถไฟอุบลราชธานี) is a railway station located in Warin Chamrap Subdistrict, Warin Chamrap District, Ubon Ratchathani, It is a class 1 railway station located from Bangkok railway station. The station opened in April 1, 1930 as part of the Northeastern Line Si Sa Ket–Ubon Ratchathani section. In front of the station, there is a decommissioned 180 Unit NBL steam locomotive on display. Warin Chamrap District
Warin Chamrap ( th, วารินชำราบ, ) is a district (''amphoe'') in the western part of Ubon Ratchathani province, northeastern Thailand (Isan). Geography Neighboring districts are (from the north clockwise) Mueang Ubon Ratchathani, Sawang Wirawong, Na Yia, Det Udom, Samrong of Ubon Ratchathani Province, and Kanthararom of Sisaket province. The important water resource is the Mun River. Warin Chamrap is located just 2 kilometers (1 mi) from Mueang Ubon Ratchathani, with Mun River between them. Ubon Ratchathani ( th, อุบลราชธานี, ) is one of the four major cities of Isan (with Khorat/Nakhon Ratchasima, Udon Thani, and Khon Kaen), also known as the "big four of Isan." North British Locomotive Company
The North British Locomotive Company (NBL, NB Loco or North British) was created in 1903 through the merger of three Glasgow locomotive manufacturing companies; Sharp, Stewart and Company (Atlas Works), Neilson, Reid and Company (Hyde Park Works) and Dübs and Company (Queens Park Works), creating the largest locomotive manufacturing company in Europe and the British Empire.
