Raschid also Yar Shit ( my, ရာရှစ်; 1912 — 1978), an Indian Myanmar Muslim, was the first chairman of the All Burma Federation of Student Unions, politician and active in the student movement against the ruling British.U Nu Early life and education Rashid was born on November 5, 1912 in Allahabad, India. In 1914, Rar Shit and his family moved to Rangoon from India when he was two years old. His father was Mr. M. A. Sakur and his mother was Ahmadi Begum. His father, Mr. M. A. Sakur, was an Indian-Burmese trader and opened a shop on Dalhousie Road (now Mahabandula Road) and was the first person to import and sell Phonograph to Myanmar. Ne Win ( my, နေဝင်း ; 10 July 1910, or 14 or 24 May 1911 – 5 December 2002) was a Burmese politician and military commander who served as Prime Minister of Burma from 1958 to 1960 and 1962 to 1974, and also President of Burma from 1962 to 1981. Ne Win was Burma's military dictator during the Socialist Burma period of 1962 to 1988. The Anti-Fascist People's Freedom League (AFPFL), ; abbreviated , ''hpa hsa pa la'' was the dominant political alliance in Burma from 1945 to 1958. It consisted of political parties and mass and class organizations. The league evolved out of the anti-Japanese resistance organization Anti-Fascist Organisation (AFO) founded in August 1944 during the Japanese occupation by the Communist Party of Burma (CPB), the Burma National Army and the socialist People's Revolutionary Party (PRP).
