UTV is a Romanian free-to-air music television channel located in Bucharest Bucharest ( , ; ro, București ) is the capital and largest city of Romania, as well as its cultural, industrial, and financial centre. It was launched in late 2005 under the slogan "All I want for Christmas is U". It belonged to UTI GROUP, but was later sold to RCS RDS. It is mainly broadcast in clubs and restaurants, but also has a target for 18–35 years public, broadcasting new and recent music, Romanian and foreign, mainly dance, club, house. It was also available as U HD, with Dolby Audio, until 2014. UTV mainly broadcasts new music, while H!T music channel, another RCS RDS channel, broadcasts older music from the 1960s to the present. Digi Communications, also known as RCS & RDS, is a Romanian telecommunication holding company operating in Romania, Hungary, Spain and Italy. Digi was founded by Zoltán Teszári, who is the majority owner, and it is listed on the Bucharest Stock Exchange since 16 May 2017. In 2019, Digi had a market share of 51% in Romania and the vast majority of its subscribers are connected via fiber, a process which was started in 2006. This has had a major contribution to Romania's status as a country with one of the highest fixed broadband internet speeds in the world. Digi Sport (Romania)
Digi Sport is a Romanian sports television that was launched on 23 July 2009, available only on the Digi TV platform. It is offered as a set of sports channels, called Digi Sport 1, Digi Sport 2, Digi Sport 3 and Digi Sport 4. On 23 November 2018 Digi 4K was launched just for main events. Genre Digi Sport is one of the sports television in Romania. There are a variety of sports competitions such as football, tennis, handball, basketball, volleyball or kickboxing. Music Channel is a Romanian music television channel, opened on May 28, 2008. On January 1, 2010 was launched a version in Hungary. Music Channel came to prominence as the first Romanian TV station to host Live streaming on the internet.
