US Suisse Paris
Union Sportive Suisse de Paris, also known as simply US Suisse or Suisse Paris, is a French amateur football club based in Paris. The club was founded in 1894 under the name United Sports Club and currently play in the Promotion d'Honneur of the Ligue Île-de-France, the ninth division of the French football league system. Under the United Sports Club emblem, Suisse Paris participated in France's second-ever football championship in 1895. The club's best finish in the competition was during the 1903–04 season when the club finished second to RC Roubaix. In the previous season, the club won the 1903 edition of the Coupe Dewar. In 1906, the club merged with FC Switzerland and, four years later, officially adopted the club's current name. As stated in the name, the club is known for its relationship with the country of Switzerland. French Football League System
The French football league system is a series of interconnected leagues for club football in France and Monaco, and includes one Spanish side. At the top two levels of the system is the Ligue de Football Professionnel, which consists of two professional national divisions, Ligue 1 and Ligue 2. Below that are a number of leagues run by the Fédération Française de Football. At level 3 is the semi-professional Championnat National. Below that is the amateur Championnat National 2 (level 4), which is divided into four parallel regional divisions, followed by the Championnat National 3 (level 5), which is divided into 12 parallel regional divisions. RC Roubaix
Racing Club de Roubaix was a French association football team that played in Roubaix, Nord. History The team was founded in 1895 and was very successful before the establishment of professionalism in France. In 1933, after losing twice in a row in the final of Coupe de France, this time against city rival Excelsior AC Roubaix (a professional team), the team turned professional and reached Division 1 in 1936 and stayed there till World War II. After the war, the club merged with Excelsior AC Roubaix and US Tourcoing in CO Roubaix-Tourcoing (1945–1963). In 1963, CO Roubaix-Tourcoing lost its professional status and RC Roubaix decided to merge with another club, Stade Roubaix, to create Racing Stade Roubaisien.
