USL League One
USL League One (USL1) is a professional men's soccer league in the United States that had its inaugural season in 2019. The Division III league is operated by United Soccer League, the same group that operates the Division II USL Championship and other leagues. As of 2023, the league has 12 teams who play 30 regular season games, followed by playoffs. History The USL Championship was granted second division sanctioning by the United States Soccer Federation in January 2017, leaving the third tier of American soccer unoccupied. From 1996 to 2009, the United Soccer League operated leagues at the lower divisions under various names, including the USL Second Division in the third tier. 2023 USL League One Season
The 2023 USL League One season will be the fifth season of USL League One. Twelve teams will participate in the 2023 season. Each team will play ten teams three times and the one remaining team twice for a total of 32 games. Top six teams will qualify for the playoffs. Lexington SC enters as an expansion team and One Knoxville SC joins from USL League Two. FC Tucson left to rejoin USL League Two. MLS Next Pro is a men's professional soccer league in the United States and Canada that is affiliated with Major League Soccer. It launched in 2022 with 21 teams and will expand to 28 in 2023. Penn FC (formerly the Harrisburg City Islanders) was an American professional soccer team based in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, United States.
