UIM F2 World Championship
The F2 World Championship is an international powerboat racing competition organised by the Union Internationale Motonautique. The Boats The carbon fibre catamaran hulls are powered by Mercury Racing OptiMax 2.5XS outboards. Qualifying Qualifying periods (Q1, Q2 & a shoot out) decide the formation of the grid. Mercury Marine is a marine engine division of Brunswick Corporation headquartered in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin. The main product line is outboard motors. History Founding The Kiekhaefer Mercury company began in 1939 when engineer Carl Kiekhaefer purchased a small outboard motor company in Cedarburg, Wisconsin, Cedarburg, Wisconsin. Kiekhaefer's original intention for the Kiekhaefer Corporation was to make magnetic separators for the dairy industry. The purchase included 300 defective outboard Engine, motors. Erik Stark
Erik Stark (born 13 November 1987) is a Swedish powerboat racing driver who races in the F1H2O World Championship and in thXCAT World Championshipfor the United Arab Emirates-owned Victory Team. On the first round of 2021 UIM-F1H2O World Championship, Grand Prix of Europe, Stark raced with Gillman Racing Team. He has won the title in the UIM F2 World Championship on four occasions and won world championships in offshore Class 3C and P750 (ThunderCat). Stark has also won a hat-trick of F2 European Championships was F2 Nordic Champion four times. As of December 2021, he held the record for winning four UIM F2 World Championship in a row.
