UE Engordany
Unió Esportiva Engordany is an Andorran football and basketball club based in Escaldes-Engordany. The club football section plays in Primera Divisió. History The club was founded on 2 October 1980 as Unió Esportiva Engordany Futbol Club in the main venue of Engordany by Manuel Puerta Martín, Manuel Varela Valés and Josep Rodríguez Sànchez. On 28 January 1981 the club was established and was later renamed simply as UE Engordany. In 2001 the club was affiliated in the FAF and began competing in the Segona Divisió, being promoted to Primera Divisió in 2003. However the club was relegated the following year after one season playing in the Andorran top league. In the 2006–07 season they finished 3rd in the Andorran 2nd division. Because FC Santa Coloma's B Team, who finished 2nd, was not eligible for the 1st division, they went into play-offs against 7th from the 1st division, Encamp. FC Lusitanos, also known as Lusitans, was an Andorran football club from Andorra la Vella which was founded in 1999 and currently play in Segona Divisió. Lusitanos won their first Primera Divisió title in 2011–12 and its second national championship the following season. The club's name, crest and kit reflect its Portuguese identity. Xavier "Xavi" Carmona Velasco (born 21 January 1993) is a Spanish footballer who plays for Ordino as a right back. The 2016 Copa Constitució is the 24th edition of the national football knockout tournament in Andorra. The tournament began on 21 February 2016 and ended on 15 May 2016 with the final. Format This year's version of the Copa Constitució was a single elimination tournament contested by 12 teams. Eight teams from the Primera Divisió and four from the Segona Divisió competed. The 2017–18 Primera Divisió, also known as Lliga Multisegur Assegurances, was the 23rd season of top-tier football in Andorra. The season began on 17 September 2017 and ended on 20 May 2018. The defending champions are FC Santa Coloma having won their eleventh championship the previous season. The winner of the league this season will earn a place in the preliminary round of the 2018–19 Champions League, and the second-placed club will earn a place in the preliminary round of the 2018–19 Europa League. Inter Club d'Escaldes is an Andorran football club based in Escaldes-Engordany. The club currently plays in Primera Divisió. History Inter Club d'Escaldes was founded in Escaldes-Engordany in 1991 and being founder member of Primera Divisió in 1995, the Premier League of Andorra. The club was playing since then in the top flight until April 2015 when the team was relegated after finishing 8th in the regular league.
