The UEMOA Tournament is a football (soccer) tournament held between nations who are a member of the West African Economic and Monetary Union The Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS; also known as in French and Portuguese) is a regional political and economic union of fifteen countries located in West Africa. Collectively, these countries comprise an area of , and in ... (UEMOA). The tournament was first played in 2007. It is also called Coupe de l'intégration ouest africaine. The Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS; also known as in French and Portuguese) is a regional political and economic union of fifteen countries located in West Africa. Collectively, these countries comprise an area of , and in 2015 had an estimated population of over 349 million. Considered one of the pillar regional blocs of the continent-wide African Economic Community (AEC), the stated goal of ECOWAS is to achieve "collective self-sufficiency" for its member states by creating a single large trade bloc by building a full economic and trading union. The Rec.Sport.Soccer Statistics Foundation (RSSSF) is an international organization dedicated to collecting statistics about association football. The foundation aims to build an exhaustive archive of football-related information from around the world. This will be the third UEMOA Tournament contest. It is a competition for domestic-league football players from the eight UEMOA member countries: Mali, Côte d'Ivoire, Burkina Faso, Niger, Togo, Benin, Senegal and Guinea-Bissau.
