2009 UEMOA Tournament ...
This will be the third UEMOA Tournament contest. It is a competition for domestic-league football players from the eight UEMOA member countries: Mali, Côte d'Ivoire, Burkina Faso, Niger, Togo, Benin, Senegal and Guinea-Bissau. The Togolese Football Federation announced their intention to host the tournament at Lomé but the tournament was hosted in Benin. UEMOA Tournament
The UEMOA Tournament is a football (soccer) tournament held between nations who are a member of the West African Economic and Monetary Union The Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS; also known as in French and Portuguese) is a regional political and economic union of fifteen countries located in West Africa. Collectively, these countries comprise an area of , and in ... (UEMOA). The tournament was first played in 2007. It is also called Coupe de l'intégration ouest africaine.
