Poland secured qualification to the tournament proper on 17 November 2007 following a 2–0 win against Belgium, becoming the eighth team in the whole of the qualification stage to do so. Portugal secured qualification to the tournament proper on 21 November 2007 following a 0–0 draw against Finland, becoming the thirteenth team in the whole of the qualification stage to do so. Laurent Duhamel (born 10 October 1968 in Rouen) is a French football referee. He has been a referee in the French Football Federation (FFF) since 1993 and a FIFA referee since 1999. He was suspended from refereeing in France in 2009, but allowed to continue to referee international matches. Eastern European Summer Time
Eastern European Summer Time (EEST) is one of the names of the UTC+03:00 time zone, which is 3 hours ahead of Coordinated Universal Time. It is used as a summer daylight saving time in some European and Middle Eastern countries, which makes it the same as Arabia Standard Time, East Africa Time, and Moscow Time. During the winter periods, Eastern European Time ( UTC+02:00) is used. Since 1996, European Summer Time has been applied from the last Sunday in March to the last Sunday in October. Previously, the rules were not uniform across the European Union. Austrian Football Association
The Austrian Football Association (german: Österreichischer Fußball-Bund; ÖFB) is the governing body of football in Austria. It organises the football league, Austrian Bundesliga, the Austrian Cup and the Austria national football team, as well as its female equivalent. It is based in the capital, Vienna. Gerald Lehner (referee)
Gerald Lehner (12 March 1968 – 2 September 2016) was an Austrian football referee. Normally he worked as a plant technician. Lehner was an Austrian Football Association (''Österreichische Fußball-Bundesliga'') referee from 1 July 1995 and a FIFA referee from 1 January 2002. Lehner retired from referring in 2008 for health reasons, before dying at the age of 48 on 2 September 2016. Daniel Van Buyten (; born 7 February 1978) is a Belgian former footballer who played as a centre back. Nicknamed "Big Dan", Van Buyten was known for his uncompromising style of play, exploiting both his physical strength and aerial ability. Zsolt Szabó (born 1 January 1972) is a Hungarian football referee. He was a full international for FIFA beginning in 1999; as of 2013, however, he was not included on the FIFA list. The Tofiq Bahramov Republican Stadium ( az, Tofiq Bəhramov adına Respublika Stadionu) is a multi-purpose stadium in Baku, Azerbaijan. It is currently used mostly for football matches.
