UEFA Euro 2000 Qualifying
Qualifying for the UEFA Euro 2000 final tournament, took place throughout 1998 and 1999. Forty-nine teams were divided into nine groups. All teams played against each other, within their groups, on a home-and-away basis. The winner of each group and the best runner-up qualified automatically for the final tournament. The rest of the runners-up played an additional set of playoff matches amongst each other. Belgium and the Netherlands qualified automatically as co-hosts of the event. Qualified teams Qualification seeding The draw occurred on 18 January 1998, in Ghent, Belgium. The 49 participating teams were divided into five drawing pots based on the newly introduced 1997-edition of the UEFA national team coefficient ranking, which calculated an average of the team's points per game achieved combined in the Euro 1996 and 1998 World Cup qualifiers. Maksimir Stadium ( hr, Stadion Maksimir, ) is a multi-use stadium in Zagreb, Croatia. It takes its name from the surrounding neighbourhood of Maksimir. Saša Ćirić or Saša Ḱiriḱ ( mk, Сашa Ќириќ; born 11 January 1968) is a retired Macedonian football player. Club career Ćirić started his career at Sloga Umin Dol. Via Metalurg Skopje he moved to Pelister. From the Bulgarian side CSKA Sofia (for which he played in 1994) he signed for FK Vardar again and went to FC Aarau. German Bundesliga side 1. Zvonimir Boban
Zvonimir "Zvone" Boban (; born 8 October 1968) is a Croatian former footballer who currently works at UEFA as the Chief of Football. Boban played as a midfielder and was usually deployed as an attacking midfielder. He played most of his professional career for Italian club Milan with whom he won four Serie A titles and one UEFA Champions League title. He also captained the Croatia national team which won third place at the 1998 FIFA World Cup. Before 1990 and the international recognition of Croatia's national team, Boban had played for the Yugoslavia under-20 team which won the 1987 World Youth Championship.
