UCI Cycling Esports World Championships
The UCI Cycling Esports World Championships is a world championships for online bicycle road racing organized by the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI). The first edition was held on 9 December 2020, featuring a men's and women's event over a virtual 50 kilometer route with 483 meters of simulated elevation gain on the Zwift platform. The event featured strict anti-cheating protocols as well as 11 power ups that competitors could use during the race. The 2022 UCI Cycling Esports World Championships took place on February 26, 2022, once again on Zwift Zwift is a massively multiplayer online cycling and running physical training program that enables users to interact, train, and compete in a virtual world. Jay Vine (born 16 November 1995) is an Australian professional racing cyclist who currently rides for UCI WorldTeam . Career In December 2020, Vine was initially announced to be joining UCI Continental team for the 2021 season. However, as a result of winning the 2020 Zwift Academy program, he earned a professional contract with Belgian UCI ProTeam . UCI World Championships
The UCI world championships are annual competitions promoted by the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) to determine world champion cyclists. They are held in several different styles of racing, in a different country each year. Championship winners wear a white jersey with coloured bands around the chest for the following year. The similarity to the colours of a rainbow gives them the colloquial name of "Rainbow jersey, the rainbow jersey." The first three individuals or teams in each championship win gold, silver and bronze medals. Former world champions are allowed to wear a trim to their collar and sleeves in the same pattern as the rainbow jersey. Cecilia Hansen (; married name Zakharova; February 4 (16), 1897 Kamenskaya – July 27, 1989, London) was a Russian violin virtuoso and music teacher. Early life and career Cecilia Hansen was born on February 4 (16), 1897 in the town of Kamenskaya in Don Host Oblast. Her father Henrik, a Dane originally from Southern Jutland, was a music teacher and her older sister Frida (born in 1893) was adept at playing the fortepiano. While Cecilia also gravitated towards the fortepiano, she switched to the violin when she was three. Because of Cecilia's talent on the violin, her father took her to the Saint Petersburg Conservatory to study with Leopold Auer when she was ten. Freddy Ovett (born 16 January 1994) is a British-born Australian professional off-road cyclist. He has previously been a stagiaire with UCI WorldTeam in 2018, and UCI Professional Continental team in 2019. Personal life Ovett was born in Dumfries, Scotland. His father, Steve Ovett, competed for Great Britain in middle-distance running during the 1970s and the 1980s; he won gold medals at the 1980 Summer Olympics in the 800 metres, and the 1986 Commonwealth Games in the 5000 metres.
