Uzynagash ( kk, Узынағаш, ''Uzynağaş'') is a selo in Zhambyl District in Almaty Region of south-eastern Kazakhstan. It is the capital of the district. Nikolai Espolovich Dzhumagaliev ( kk, Николай Есполұлы Жұмағалиев, ''Nıkolaı Jumaǵalıev''; Russian: Николай Есполович Джумагалиев; born November 15, 1952) is a Soviet serial killer, also known as Metal Fang, convicted of the murders of ten people in the Kazakh SSR (now Kazakhstan) between 1979 and 1980. Dzhumagaliev killed and cannibalized at least ten people, targeting mainly women in the Almaty area, and is believed to have killed more until his arrest. He was declared insane and imprisoned in a mental hospital until escaping in 1989, but was recaptured two years later, and is currently serving his sentence. Almaty Region ( kk, Алматы облысы, Almaty oblysy; russian: Алматинская область, Almatinskaya oblast) is a region in Kazakhstan, located in the southeastern part of the country. Omsk Time (OMST) is a time zone in Russia that is six hours ahead of UTC ( UTC+06:00), and 3 hours ahead of Moscow Time (MSK). It is used in Omsk Oblast. History Until 1991, Omsk Time was one of the two time zones used in Soviet Central Asia. In addition to Omsk Oblast in the Russian SFSR, it covered the eastern two thirds of Kazakh SSR, all of Kyrgyz and Tajik SSRs, and eastern Uzbek SSR.
