Uzi Meshulam
Uzi Meshulam ( he, עוזי משולם; October 30, 1952 - June 21, 2013) was a Rabbi from Yehud who in 1994 was the leader of a group of Yemenite Jews who resisted Israeli law enforcement authorities. Biography At the end of the 1970s Meshulam taught Torah in a religious school and many students gathered around him. Meshulam became widely known in the affair which began on Passover in 1994. During that time Meshulam distributed pamphlets which described the kidnappings of Jewish Yemenite children and stated that around 4,500 children of Jewish Yemenite immigrants were taken from their parents by the Israeli authorities and given to rich Ashkenazi Jews inside Israel and abroad during the late 1940s and early 1950s while the Yemenite immigrants were falsely told that their babies had died from illness or malnutrition. The Kedmi Commission also known as The Cohen-Kedmi Commission was set up in 1995 during the Israel prime minister Yitzhak Rabin to investigate the missing of hundreds of Jewish infants, most of those belonging to Jews from Yemen who has migrated to the newly created State of Israel between 1948 and 1954 through the Operation Magic Carpet (Yemen). Yehuda Cohen ( he, יהודה כהן; 23 January 1914 – 8 August 2009) was an Israeli judge. He was appointed to the Israeli Supreme Court in 1982. Biography Yehuda Cohen was born in Safed. He studied mathematics at the American University of Beirut and returned to Mandate Palestine to study law. Cohen enlisted in the British Army and continued to serve as a major in the Israel Defense Forces. Cohen served in the Jerusalem District Court from 1954, and became its president in 1980. In 1982, he was appointed to the Israeli Supreme Court, where he served until retirement. A Molotov cocktail (among several other names – ''see other names'') is a hand thrown incendiary weapon constructed from a frangible container filled with flammable substances equipped with a fuse (typically a glass bottle filled with flammable liquids sealed with a cloth wick). In use, the fuse attached to the container is lit and the weapon is thrown, shattering on impact. This ignites the flammable substances contained in the bottle and spreads flames as the fuel burns. Assaf Hefetz
Assaf Hefetz ( he, אסף חפץ; born 1944) was commissioner of the Israeli Police. Biography Hefetz was drafted into the Israeli Defense Forces in 1962. He volunteered as a paratrooper in the Paratroopers Brigade. He served as a soldier and a squad leader. In 1964 he became an infantry officer after completing Officer Candidate School and returned to the Paratroopers Brigade as a platoon leader in the Brigade's 890 battalion. Hefetz fought in the Six-Day War and the War of Attrition. During the Yom Kippur War he commanded a paratroop force through the battles in the Sinai Peninsula, and afterwards commanded the 202 paratroop battalion. In 1978, Hefetz was appointed leader of the Israeli Border Police Yamam anti-terrorism unit.
