Uxpanapa is a municipality in the southeastern part of the state of Veracruz, adjacent to the state of Oaxaca), in Mexico. It is bordered by the municipalities of Jesús Carranza, Hidalgotitlán, Minatitlán, and Las Choapas in Veracruz, as well as Santa María Chimalapa in Oaxaca. It has an area of 2,600 km². Its municipal seat is the town of La Chinantla (Poblado Diez), its largest community, with a 2005 census population of 2,579 inhabitants. Other significant communities in the municipality include the towns of Villa Juarez (poblado 1), Saturnino, Helio García Alfaro (Poblado Once), Río Uxpanapa (Poblado Catorce),La laguna, Agustin Melgar, La Horqueta (Poblado Doce), Hermanos Cedillo (Poblado Dos A), Plan de Arroyo (poblado 2 B), and Poblado Cinco. Minatitlán, Veracruz
Minatitlán is a city in southeastern Mexican state of Veracruz in the Olmec region of the state and the north of the Isthmus of Tehuantepec. In 2010 the greater metropolitan area had a population of 356,020. The municipality covers an area of and includes many small outlying communities. Much of the city sits on reclaimed wetlands, and many new homes built on this reclaimed land have a tendency to sink up to several meters before settling. Much of the surrounding undeveloped land is marshy, especially towards the northeast direction of Coatzacoalcos. Minatitlán is home to the ''Refinería Gral. Lázaro Cárdenas del Río'' (now named for President Lázaro Cárdenas) a 1906 oil refinery that was the first such facility built in Latin America. La Chinantla (Poblado 10) is a town in the Municipality of Uxpanapa, in southwest Veracruz, Mexico. Santa María Chimalapa
Santa María Chimalapa is a town and municipality in Oaxaca in south-western Mexico. It is part of the Juchitán District in the west of the Istmo de Tehuantepec region. Environment The municipality has an area of 3572.31 km², much of it covered by tropical rain forest. The climate is warm sub humid, with summer rainfall of 23,000 mm. Las Choapas
Las Choapas is a city and its surrounding municipality in the southeastern extremes of the state of Veracruz in Mexico. It is bordered by the municipalities of Uxpanapa, Minatitlán, Moloacán, and Agua Dulce in Veracruz, Huimanguillo in Tabasco, Cintalapa and Tecpatán in Chiapas, and Santa María Chimalapa in Oaxaca. Its major products are cattle breeding, corn, oil, fruit, sugar, and rubber. In the past it had a rice miller. It is one of the largest municipalities in Veracruz, with an area of 2,851.2 km² (1,100.85 sq mi).
