Uwe Wünsch
Uwe Wünsch (born 15 February 1963 in Frankenberg, Saxony) is an East German cross-country skier who competed in the early 1980s. He won a bronze medal in the 4 × 10 km relay at the 1982 FIS Nordic World Ski Championships (Tied with Finland). Winsch finished 12th in the 15 km event at a 1983 World Cup event in Sarajevo. Cross-country Skiing At The 1984 Winter Olympics – Men's 4 × 10 Kilometre Relay
The 4 × 10 kilometre cross-country skiing event was the only relay event of the men's cross-country skiing programme at the 1984 Winter Olympics, in Sarajevo, Yugoslavia. It was the eleventh appearance of the 4 × 10 km relay in the Winter Olympics. The competition was held on Thursday, 16 February 1984, at Veliko Polje, Igman. It was the first time since 1964 that Sweden won the gold medal in the event. It was also the second gold medal won by Gunde Svan at the games, and the first of two won by Thomas Wassberg. FIS Nordic World Ski Championships 1999
The FIS Nordic World Ski Championships 1999 took place February 19–28, 1999 in Ramsau am Dachstein, Austria. The large hill ski jumping events took place at the Paul-Ausserleitner-Schanze in Bischofshofen. The 7.5 km Nordic combined sprint event debuted at these championships.
