UML-based Web Engineering
UWE (UML-based Web Engineering) is a software engineering approach for the development of Web applications. UWE provides a UML profile (UML extension), a metamodel, model-driven development process and tool support (ArgoUWE) for the systematic design of Web applications. UWE follows the separation of concerns building separate models for requirements, content, hypertext, presentation, process, adaptivity and architecture. The key aspects that distinguish UWE are reliance on OMG standards and an open source environment. See also * Web engineering * Web modeling Web modeling (aka model-driven Web development) is a branch of Web engineering which addresses the specific issues related to design and development of large-scale Web applications. In particular, it focuses on the design notations and visual lang ... External links UWE site Unified Modeling Language {{uml-stub ... UWE-1
UWE-1 (Universität Würzburg's Experimentalsatellit-1) was one of three CubeSats built by students of the University of Würzburg, launched on 27 October 2005 as part of the European Space Agency's SSETI Express mission from Plesetsk in Russia, orbiting Earth in a circular orbit. The cube-shaped satellite weighs about 1 kg and has an edge length of 10 cm, which corresponds to the CubeSat standard. Mission The primary mission of UWE-1 was to conduct telecommunication experiments. Among other things, it was about the data transmission on the Internet under space conditions: It was necessary to adapt the common Internet protocols to the difficult conditions in space environment on Earth, the transport of data on the Web works very reliable, but in space can increasingly delays and disruptions occur. Furthermore, UWE-1 also served as a test laboratory for highly efficient solar cells, whose performance and durability should be investigated. Downlink/uplink frequency wa ... UWE-2
UWE-2 (University Würzburg's Experimental satellite 2) was a follow-on picosatellite technology demonstration project within the CubeSat family standard, developed and built by students of the University of Würzburg, Germany. The overall objective is to demonstrate the capabilities of attitude determination and control in picosatellites. Mission Developed by the University of Würzburg, its scientific objectives are: * tests of methods and algorithms for attitude determination * optimisation of internet protocol parameters, in order to adapt to the specific space environment. Launch On 23 September 2009, at 06:21 UTC, UWE-2 was launched by a Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle (PSLV) launch vehicle (PSLV-C14) together with Oceansat-2 and three further CubeSats in a polar orbit at 720 km altitude. Successful operations could be initiated. Use of SPL (Single Picosatellite Launcher) of Astro und Feinwerktechnik Adlershof GmbH (Berlin), Germany, for the deployment of the CubeSat ...
