Uti Vår Hage (comic Strip)
Uti vår hage ( en, Out in our pasture, named after a Swedish folk song) is a Swedish comic strip, created by Krister Petersson. It originally appeared in '' Svenska Serier'' in 1981. It then began a long run in '' 91:an'' (1983 - December 2001). On 5 December 2002 ''Uti vår hage'' became a bi-monthly comic, published by Egmont. It also ran briefly as a daily strip in ''Dagens Nyheter''. The comic strip The main character is Faló, an immature and self-righteous man in his mid-30s who lives in the small, fictional Swedish town of Mjölhagen, loosely based on a town in Småland. His last name is never revealed. Lacking any obvious source of income, he nevertheless lives in his own detached villa on Friggagatan with large garden and drives an old Volvo Amazon. He has an extremely high opinion of himself and his own abilities (especially his intelligence), which fails to reflect the realities of his personality. ''Kid Paddle'' is a Belgian gag-a-day comic series created by Michel Ledent (Midam) in 1993. It was first published in the Franco-Belgian comics magazine ''Spirou (magazine), Spirou'' before branching out into its own volume Franco-Belgian comics#Formats, comic albums in 1996. André Franquin
André Franquin (; 3 January 1924 – 5 January 1997) was an influential Belgian comics artist, whose best-known creations are '' Gaston'' and ''Marsupilami''. He also produced the ''Spirou et Fantasio'' comic strip from 1946 to 1968, a period seen by many as the series' golden age. ''Gaston'' is a Belgian gag-a-day comic strip created in 1957 by the Belgian cartoonist André Franquin in the Franco-Belgian comics magazine '' Spirou''. The series focuses on the everyday life of Gaston Lagaffe (whose surname means "the blunder"), a lazy and accident-prone office junior who works at ''Spirous office in Brussels. Gaston is very popular in large parts of Europe (especially in Belgium and France) and has been translated into over a dozen languages, but except for a few pages by Fantagraphics in the early 1990s (as ''Gomer Goof''), there was no English translation until Cinebook began publishing English language editions of Gaston books (again named 'Gomer Goof') in July, 2017. Tony Cronstam (born 6 August 1969, Växjö) is a Swedish cartoonist. An illustrator of role-playing games for Target Games during the 1980s, he made his debut as a cartoonist with the future-based strip ''Provet'' (''The Test'') in '' Svenska Serier'' (no. 3/90). In 1990, he began drawing ''Bamse'', and was the principal ''Bamse'' artist between 1998 and 2001. He taught at comic school from 1999 to 2004. Together with Maria Cronstam, he created the comic strip ''Elvis,'' in 2000, for publication in '' Metro Stockholm''. ''Elvis'' won the prestigious Adamson Award in 2004.
