Nairobi County
Nairobi City County is one of the 47 counties of Kenya. With a population of 4,397,073 in the 2019 census, it is the third smallest yet the most populous of the counties, also serving as the capital of Kenya. Mukuru Kwa Njenga is a slum in the Mukuru slums of Nairobi. Mukuru kwa Njenga is among other villages in Mukuru namely; Mukuru kwa Reuben, Mukuru kwa Njenga, Sinai, Paradise, Jamaica, Kingstone, Mariguini, Fuata Nyayo and Kayaba. Mathare
Mathare is a collection of slums in Nairobi with a population of approximately 500,000 people; the population of Mathare Valley alone, the oldest of the slums that make up Mathare, is 180,000 people. Mathare is the home of football teams Mathare United and Real Mathare of the MYSA. Mathare is currently part of two electoral constituencies; the titular Mathare Constituency and the northern part being in Ruaraka Constituency. Kiambiu
Kiambiu (sometimes spelled as ''Kiambio'') is a slum in Nairobi, Kenya with 40–50,000 residents. Kiambiu is 4 kilometers east of the center of Nairobi. Its name comes from the Swahili word ''"mbiu-mbiu"'', which translates as ''"to be on the run"''. Kiambiu slum borders the Moi Air Base (Eastleigh Airport). Of all slums in Nairobi, Kiambiu is the most recently established with a greater accessibility in pathways, drinking water resources and waste handling; these are major challenges to most slums in Kenya. Slum upgrading is underway under a conglomeration of sector players in the informal settlement. Kawangware () is a low income residential area in Nairobi, Kenya, about 15 km west of the city centre, between Lavington and Dagoretti. Description According to the 2009 Kenya Population and Housing Census, Kawangware's population was 133,286 people at this time. It is estimated that 65% of the population are children and youths. Huruma
Huruma is a low-income residential estate located in the northeast of Nairobi, the capital of Kenya. It borders Kariobangi and Dandora to the east, Moi Air Base to the south, Mathare to the north to west and Eastleigh to the southwest. Githurai is a composition of densely populated, urban, mixed-use settlements located at the border of Nairobi County and Kiambu County along the Thika superhighway. Githurai is divided into two; Githurai 45 (also known as Githurai Kimbo) and Githurai 44.
