Usni Pramoj
Admiral '' Mom Luang'' Usni Pramoj ( th, อัศนี ปราโมช ; 1 July 1934 – 2 April 2017) was a Thai musician and courtier. Education Usni was the son of '' Mom Rajawongse'' Seni Pramoj, twice Prime Minister and one of the major political figures of 20th-century Thai history, and ''Khunying'' Usana Pramoj Na Ayutthaya. In his youth he attended Bangkok Christian College before studying law at the University of Oxford. He then studied for the Bar at the Gray's Inn, qualifying as a barrister. Government career A lawyer by profession, Usni began his career as a judge advocate in the Ministry of Defence. In 1968 he was appointed as Manager of H.M. the King's Private Property Office (part of the Crown Property Bureau). Military Ranks Of The Thai Armed Forces
The Military ranks of Thailand are the military insignia used by the Royal Thai Armed Forces. The officer ranks are influenced by the ranks of the United States, while the other ranks are influenced by those of France. History Of Thailand (1932–1973)
The history of Thailand from 1932 to 1973 was dominated by military dictatorships which were in power for much of the period. The main personalities of the period were the dictator Luang Phibunsongkhram (better known as Phibun), who allied the country with Japan during the Second World War, and the civilian politician Pridi Phanomyong, who founded Thammasat University and was briefly prime minister after the war. A succession of military dictators followed Pridi's ouster—Phibun again, Sarit Thanarat, then Thanom Kittikachorn—under whom traditional, authoritarian rule was combined with increasing modernisation and Westernisation under the influence of the US. The Royal Thai Navy ( Abrv: RTN, ทร.; th, กองทัพเรือไทย, ) is the naval warfare force of Thailand. Established in 1906, it was modernised by the Admiral Prince Abhakara Kiartiwongse (1880–1923) who is known as the father of the Royal Navy. The Crown Property Bureau (CPB) ( th, สำนักงานทรัพย์สินพระมหากษัตริย์; ) is legally the administrative agency responsible for managing the property of the King of Thailand. It has no tax obligations. The king had appointed six members of the bureau's governing board, with the seventh the sitting Minister of Finance of Thailand until the Thai military junta reign in 2017-2018, a royal property law was modified. The rule of appointing a finance minister as a chairperson of board directors from Crown Property Act 1936 was omitted, giving the king discretion only to appoint the board. A barrister is a type of lawyer in common law jurisdictions. Barristers mostly specialise in courtroom advocacy and litigation. Their tasks include taking cases in superior courts and tribunals, drafting legal pleadings, researching law and giving expert legal opinions. The Honourable Society of Gray's Inn, commonly known as Gray's Inn, is one of the four Inns of Court (professional associations for barristers and judges) in London. To be called to the bar in order to practise as a barrister in England and Wales, an individual must belong to one of these inns.
