Us With Italy
Us with Italy ( it, Noi con l'Italia, NcI) is a liberal-conservative and Christian-democratic political party in Italy. NcI started as a federation of minor centre-right parties and, as such, was part of the centre-right coalition in the 2018 general election. Along with Forza Italia, NcI represented the coalition's "centrist" wing and supported Silvio Berlusconi or another "centrist" candidate as Prime Minister. Originally, the federation's full name was Us with Italy – UDC for its alliance with the Union of the Centre. NcI's early leaders were Raffaele Fitto (president, leader of Direction Italy), Francesco Saverio Romano (vice president, leader of Cantiere Popolare), Maurizio Lupi (coordinator, former leading member of Popular Alternative) and Enrico Costa (the main proponent). Maurizio Lupi
Maurizio Lupi (born 3 October 1959) is an Italian politician. He served as minister of infrastructure and transport between 28 April 2013 and 20 March 2015. Early life and education Lupi was born in Milan, Italy, on 3 October 1959. He has a degree in political science at Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore. Career Lupi served as a member of the municipal council of Milan from 1993 to 1997 and until 1996 he was vice president of the council. He has been a member of the Italian parliament since the XIV legislative period or 2001. He served as deputy house speaker until 28 April 2013 when he was appointed minister of infrastructure and transport in the Letta cabinet. He replaced Corrado Passera in the post. Gentiloni Cabinet
The Gentiloni government was the 64th government of the Italian Republic, in office from 12 December 2016 to 1 June 2018. The government was headed by Paolo Gentiloni, former Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Renzi government. The government was formed after Matteo Renzi's resignation as Prime Minister, due to the result of the 2016 constitutional referendum. The new government preserved most of the ministers of the former Renzi government. Paolo Gentiloni
Paolo Gentiloni Silveri (; born 22 November 1954) is an Italian politician who has served as European Commissioner for Economy in the von der Leyen Commission since 1 December 2019. He previously served as prime minister of Italy from December 2016 to June 2018. After a lengthy career in local politics, Gentiloni was elected to the Chamber of Deputies in 2001. He served in the Cabinet under Romano Prodi as Minister of Communications from 2006 to 2008. In 2007, he was one of the senior founding members of the Democratic Party, and went on to become Party President from 2019 to 2020. Lega Nord (; acronym: LN), whose complete name is (), is a right-wing, federalist, populist and conservative political party in Italy. In the run-up of the 2018 general election, the party was rebranded as (), without changing its official name. The party was nonetheless frequently referred to only as "Lega" even before the rebranding, and informally as the (). The party's latest elected leader was Matteo Salvini. Brothers of Italy ( it, Fratelli d'Italia, FdI) is a national-conservative and right-wing populist political party in Italy. It is led by Giorgia Meloni, the incumbent Prime Minister of Italy and the first woman to serve in the position. Enrico Costa (born 29 November 1969) is an Italian politician and lawyer. His father Raffaele was a politician as well and has been Minister of Health in the Amato I Cabinet and the Berlusconi I Cabinet. Biography In 2004 he was municipal councilor of Forza Italia in Isasca and on 16 May 2005 he was elected regional councilor of Piedmont. Cantiere Popolare (translatable into ''Popular construction site'') is a Christian-democratic political party in Italy, based in Sicily. Francesco Saverio Romano (born 24 December 1964) is an Italian politician and lawyer. He served as the minister of agricultures in 2011 and a member of the Chamber of Deputies between 2001 and 2018. Early life and education Romano was born in Palermo on 24 December 1964. He holds a law degree, which he received from the University of Palermo in 1988. Direction Italy ( it, Direzione Italia, DI) was a liberal-conservative political party in Italy. The party was led by Raffaele Fitto, an MEP in the European Conservatives and Reformists (ECR) group. Raffaele Fitto (born 28 August 1969) is an Italian politician and a member of the European Parliament. He is serving as the minister of European affairs in the Meloni Cabinet since 2022. Career Born in Maglie, Fitto was elected in 1999 at European Parliament for Forza Italia.
