''Uruvam'' () is a 1991 Indian Tamil-language horror film, directed by G. M. Kumar. The film stars Mohan, Pallavi, R. P. Viswam, débutante Veera Pandiyan and Jaimala . It was released on 15 March 1991. Plot The illegitimate son of a rich man loses a court battle over the palatial house in which he has been living. So he appeals to Bangaru Muni (Sathyajith) and he sets off a devastating abhichara prayoga (black magic attack) on the legitimate son Mohan ( Mohan) and his family. Bangaru Muni unleashes dakini, sakini, Mohini pisachi and other pretas in house. He does the ashtadig bandhan so that person should not escape. Mohan lives happily with his wife ( Jaimala), his two children, his sister Raasi (Pallavi), his brother-in-law Ashok ( Veera Pandiyan) and his wife's sister Meena (Roshini). Mohan (actor)
Mohan (born 23 August 1956) is an Indian actor, known for his works predominantly in Tamil cinema, and a few Kannada, Telugu and Malayalam films. He is also known as "Kokila Mohan" after his debut film '' Kokila'' (1977), and "Mic Mohan" from numerous roles playing singers using microphones. In 1982, he received the Filmfare Award for Best Tamil Actor for his work in '' Payanangal Mudivathillai''. Career Mohan was introduced to the world of theatre by B. V. Karanth, who spotted him at a restaurant. Mohan's first stage play was praised by critics from places like Delhi. Mohan was introduced to the cinema industry through Kannada film industry by Balu Mahendra in his movie '' Kokila'' in 1977 alongside Tamil actor Kamal Haasan. Velu Prabhakaran
Velu Prabakaran is an Indian filmmaker, cinematographer and actor. He is known for his themes highlighting atheism and revolutionary subjects in his films. The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) is a statutory film-certification body in the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting of the Government of India. It is tasked with "regulating the public exhibition of films under the provisions of the Cinematograph Act 1952." The Cinematograph Act 1952 outlines a strict certification process for commercial films shown in public venues. Films screened in cinemas and on television may only be publicly exhibited in India after certification by the board and edited.
